Note: This weekly newsletter is being sent to all of our enrolled families, both those at the Broadway K-8 campus and those whose students attend class at Operation Breakthrough, so that all families are aware of upcoming events.

Join us this Friday for our November First Friday event! All kindergarten through 5th grade families are invited. Here is the schedule for the day:

7:45 am - Classroom visits begin. Please allow your child to escort you to their classroom.

8:05 am - Caregivers proceed down the front stairs to MPR. Enjoy chatting with other caregivers!

8:15 am - Friday Morning Sing begins. Please sit in the black chairs and keep chatting to a minimum.

8:45 am - Friday Morning Sing concludes. Students will exit the MPR to return to classrooms with their teachers. Caregivers, please wait to exit until students have all left.

Photo retakes will take place next Tuesday, November 12th. All students who were absent on the original school photo day are welcome to have their photo taken at this time. Additionally, 3rd/4th graders and kindergarteners who attend class at Operation Breakthrough will have their photos taken at the Broadway campus on this day!

As a reminder, students who are having their photo taken are not required to wear their school uniform, but please do not allow them to wear green, as it doesn't work with the green screen technology.

For families using our Car Rider line to pick their students up after school, please be courteous of both our neighbors in the area and other parents. Blocking driveways, cutting off cars, using profane language, and honking the horn excessively are not courteous behaviors and do not make us good neighbors in our community.

Please continue to stay out of the middle of the street so that through traffic may pass and refrain from blocking driveways along Central St., 34th St., Armour Blvd., and Broadway Blvd. Thank you for your help in making sure that we are honoring our neighbors.

Hearing screenings, originally scheduled for November, will now take place for our Broadway Campus students on February 5th and 12th. If you have any concerns regarding your child's hearing that need attention now, please contact Nurse Turner.
