CMS Parents and Guardians of Rising 7th & 8th Graders,
It’s time to begin electing parents to serve as officers for the Chapin Middle School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and as parent members of the School Improvement Council (SIC) for the 2025-2026 school year.
PTO officers lead efforts to promote collaboration among parents, teachers, and the community to support our school’s instruction and activities. PTO meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month, with the first meeting of the 2025-2026 school year on Tuesday, August 19.
SIC members advise the school on its strategic plan, reviewing data and goals for continuous improvement. They play a key role in representing the interests of the school and the community. SIC meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month, with the first meeting of the 2025-2026 school year on Wednesday, August 20.
Parents of students attending Chapin Middle School for the 2025-2026 school year are eligible to serve. Parents may only serve on the SIC at one school per year. If nominated for the SIC, a photo and brief bio will be requested for our parent newsletter before elections. We have four available PTO seats and two available SIC seats.
Your involvement matters to us! Please nominate yourself or another parent by completing this form by Friday, April 11, 2025. All nominations will be confirmed prior to elections. Voting for PTO/SIC positions will take place electronically on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.

The CMS Student Nutrition Department would like to encourage parents to maintain a positive balance on your student(s) meal account. Each household receives bi-weekly balance notifications via email. As we approach the last three months of the school year, we wanted to remind you to check on your student's meal account to ensure that the balance is paid.
