Crusader Monthly

Our academic decathlon teams made a great showing at the Diocesan Academic Decathlon held March 1st at Saint Pius X school. Most Holy Trinity sent two teams with a total of 20 students to the competition. Every student took at least one medal. Three decathletes: Jacoby Gonzalez, Alyson Mendoza and Emmanuel Takoguem took gold medals in their individual events. Jacoby, Alyson and Emmanuel qualified to compete in the national decathlon held during spring break. Here is our list of individual and winners:

Our Mardi Gras Gala was a huge success.

Income

A total of $31,465.28 was taken in. This includes table and individual ticket sales, silent auction, live auction, teachers giving tree and miscellaneous donations.

Expenses

We had a total of $1,796.01 in expenses. This includes chair cover rentals, table rentals and food. In addition to this, Most Holy Trinity Parish paid for dishes and silverware rental, and paid for wine. Chef Jon Paul DelaMotte worked to get much of the food donated.

Net Profit

Our Net Profit was $29,660.27

We want to thank our planning committee for the time and effort put in to make the event a success.

Special thanks for Father Michael Lewis and Most Holy Trinity Parish for their support, and to Chef Jon Paul for providing a delicious meal.

Next year's event will be February 14, 2026. Details will come at a later date.

Dear Parents,

It is time for our Spring Fundraiser. We will be hosting our second Crusader Color Run, to be held Friday April 11th. This event gives families and friends the chance to sponsor their favorite student as they run or walk laps at their own pace in the grotto area next to the school. Our goal for this event is $35,000. This is a mandatory event; each family is responsible for a minimum of $250. I hope this will be a successful Fundraiser for us.

Our students will earn individual prizes based on the amount of money they raise. The prizes range from a Color Run T-shirt just for registering your child all the way up to a $100 Wal Mart gift card. for students who raise more than $1,000. There will be other prizes in between including toys, games, spirit gear etc.

To prepare for the event:

• You need to register your child for this event at www.funrun.com
• Registration is free and will just take a moment of your time.

• Once you register, your child will have his/her own site. Please upload a picture of your child on the site. The site will create a video starring your child as a “school hero”. Then share this video with your family and friends through email, text or social media. Please let them know that your child will be running/walking during PE time April 11th and ask them to make a donation for your child
• People who donate will do so through your child’s site, which will track the donations as they are made. You will not need to collect any money when they do this. The money is deposited directly into our school account.

Please make every effort to promote donations for our school. Thank you for your continued support of our school.

Es hora de nuestra recaudación de fondos de primavera. Organizaremos nuestra segunda Crusader Color Run, que se llevará a cabo el viernes 11 de abril. Important Dates

• Crusader Fun Run Student Kickoff will be held Friday, March 28th
• 5th,6th,7th and 8th Grades will be going to Hueco Tanks Friday, April 4, from 10 AM-2 PM. Parents are needed to drive. for more information please contact your child's teacher or Ms. Flores.
• LOLAS Enchilada Dinner will be Friday, April 4th. Tickets are $12 each and are available in the office
• Room Parents will meet Wednesday, April 9th at 6:00 PM
• Crusader Color Run will be held Friday, April 11th.
• National Librarian Day is April 16th. Thank you, Mrs. Vass, for all your time and effort for our students!
• We will have early release Wednesday April 16th at 1:00 PM. No aftercare today!
• The Triduum begins Thursday, April 17th. Mass of the Lord’s Supper at Most Holy Trinity @ 6:30 PM

• Easter Vigil Mass Saturday April 19th at 8:30 PM.
• Easter Sunday April 21st: Masses 8 AM and 10 AM (English) and 12:00 PM (Spanish) Mass.
• Students return to school Monday, April 21st.
• Spring ITBS Testing for Grades K-8 will be April 22-25

Varsity girls took the diocesan varsity basketball tournament championship, edging St. Joseph 27 to 26. Our varsity girls finished 2nd place in the regular season, with their only loss coming to Saint Michael's of Las Cruces. Overall our girls won 9 games against that single loss to Saint Michael. Our team members are Ezra Daughtry, Camilla Lopez, Arissa Marin, Maya Rodriguez-Dinh, Gennavieve Yzaguirre and Rosabelle Yzaguirre. Our varsity team was coached by Mrs. Rocha. Congratulations varsity basketball, all of Most Holy Trinity is very proud of you!

JV Girls took second place in the JV Basketball Tournament Championship. edging St. Matthew 6 to 4 in overtime to earn a spot in the finals. Our JV girls also took 2nd place in the regular season, behind undefeated St. Clements. Overall our girls won 6 games against 4 losses. Our team members are Abigail Delgado, Aloura Buena, Jasminelyn Wilkerson, Sonya Serrano, Alessandra Pacheco, Autumn White. Our JV team was coached by Ms. Veronica Ramos. Congratulations JV Basketball, all of Most Holy Trinity is very proud of you!

Soccer Games begin this week. WE have 3 teams:

• JV 2- Third and Fourth Grades
• JV 1- Fifth and Sixth Grade
• Varsity- Seventh and Eighth Grades

Admission to all games is $2 for adults and $1 for students.

MHT students are free for all home games.

Our 8th Grade Class will be selling LOLAS Enchilada Plates. Tickets are $12 each and includes 3 enchiladas, rice, beans and salad. Proceeds will be applied toward 8th grade graduation. Please contact the office or any 8th grade family for tickets.
