Principal Cassidy's Corner
On behalf of our school team, we want to wish all of our families a safe, happy, and healthy holiday season. It has been a pleasure to support our students to grow and learn this semester. As we pause for a vacation, I want to say thank you to our entire school community for making Holcomb Bridge Middle School a great place for learning each day.
We look forward to welcoming students back for semester two on January 7!
Congratulations Spelling Bee Winners!
Congratulations to our schoolwide spelling bee winners! Our first-place winner, Egypt, will represent HBMS in the district spelling bee. All of the spellers kept the competition very tight, and we are very proud of our students!

2nd Place: Roslyn Hodge (8th Grade)
3rd Place: Ruben Rico (6th Grade)
Outdoor Classroom Update
We want to extend our sincere thanks to Chas Fischer, who is a former HBMS Hawk and now a senior at Centennial HS, for selecting our school to benefit from his Eagle Scout Project. Chas raised money and solicited volunteers to repair and upgrade our outdoor classroom space. Benches were repaired, a new podium and glass whiteboard were installed, and a class set of clipboards and markers were provided. Chas also made a $500 donation to the school to purchase additional supplies for the space. Our students and teachers will be enjoying this learning space for many years. Thank you, Chas, for leaving a legacy at HBMS!
Be a Holiday Hero!
Holcomb Bridge PTA is collecting money for HBMS families in need this holiday season. You can help by making an online donation of any amount. Thank you for your contribution and continued support.
The funds collected will be used to purchase food and/or supplies that are still in need for the families. Thank you so much for your contribution and continued support.
Supplies Needed!
Attention HBMS Families: Supplies Needed in our MakerSpace! Our Library Tech class would like to host a "Vision Board" event in the MakerSpace in January. We are in need of magazine and newspaper donations for students to use for collage-making. Please drop off donations in the front office (attention: media center) or have your student drop them by the library. Thank you!
Save the Date - February 12!
