The scheduling window for Parent-Teacher Conferences is now open! We encourage you to sign up to discuss your child's progress. Additionally, Quarter 1 report cards are now available for viewing.
We are excited to welcome families into the building for American Education Week, November 18-22. Save the date. We hope you can join us to see learning in action and connect with our school community!

Picture Re-take Day- Tuesday, November 12, 2024
Picture retake day is coming up on Tuesday! This opportunity is for students who were absent on the original picture day or those who would like a retake. If your student wishes to have a new photo taken, please make sure they bring their original photo proof or photo package to school on Tuesday morning.
American Education week is November 18th - 22nd
We are excited to invite parents and guardians to join us for American Education Week, November 18-22nd. Throughout the week, we’ll have special events and activities where you can experience a day in the life of your child, meet our dedicated staff, and learn more about our programs.
Monday- The Scholastic Book Fair opens!
Tuesday- Family Day: An opportunity for parents/ guardians to visit classes
Wednesday- Coffee & Donuts with Admin and Support Staff (8:30- 9:30 AM); PTSA meeting at 6 PM
Thursday- Technology Thursday in Media Center. Get support with Canvas, Chromebook repairs, Talking Points, Google docs etc. Two sessions - morning (8:30-9:30 AM) and afternoon (2:30-3:30 PM)
Friday- Fine Arts Focus: Check out what your Timberwolf has been working on in the Band, Orchestra, Chorus, Music, Visual Art, Dance or Theater Class!
Quarter 1 Reports Cards were issued on Friday, November 8 at 4:00 PM
Parents/guardians may view/download report cards by taking the following steps:
- Log in to HCPSS Connect Synergy using parent/guardian credentials
- Select More Options from the left panel
- Select Report Cards from the middle
- Select the report card you wish to access
Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way!
Here’s what you need to know about the big event, which will take place from November 18th to November 26st during school and Parent/Conference hours.
We also will be open for the PTSA meeting on Wednesday, November 20th.
Say goodbye to checks and hello to eWallet—your child’s digital payment account. Before the Fair, set up eWallet for worry-free, cash-free purchases. Anyone can contribute! Share each child’s eWallet so friends and family can add funds and give your kids more books to enjoy. We will be accepting ewallet,credit cards, and cash.
If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop at our school’s Book Fair online throughout the fair until December 1st.. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Every online purchase will also benefit our school.

Parents Can Begin To Schedule Their November Conferences Now
On November 8th, at 8:00am, scheduling for Parent Teacher Conferences opened to everyone. The window for scheduling will close for parents/guardians at 4:00 pm on November 21st. Conferences will be held November 25: In-Person. November 26-27: Virtual Conferences only.
2025 Carson Scholarship Opportunity for ALL Interested TVMS Students!
This is a scholarship opportunity program that awards $1,000 college scholarships to students in the United States.

Next PTSA Meeting Wednesday, November 20, 2024, 6:00 PM
Parents may join in person or virtually. The link will be sent out the day of the meeting.
We will have the PTSA business meeting followed by a short presentation on Media Literacy and Managing Exposure presented by Backpack Healthcare organization.

Veteran's Day 2024
The TVMS Television Production seminar would like to honor all veterans through our morning announcements program. If you would like to have a veteran recognized on our morning announcements, please copy the Google Slide template linked here. Add a picture of the veteran you are honoring and type their name, branch of service, time of service (WWII, Vietnam, or a date range), as well as their relationship to the student (grandfather of..., mother of..., etc.). Please send the link to the completed slide to Ms. Rice at leann_rice@hcpss.org. Thank you!

HCPSS Food and Nutrition Service First-Ever Taste Test Event
The HCPSS Food and Nutrition Service is holding their 1st Regional Food Taste Test Event at the Guilford Park High School cafeteria on November 14 from 6:00-7:00 pm The food taste test would be an exciting opportunity for parents and students to try new and currently prepared foods and share their opinions. In those ways, parent and student voices and choices would be strongly represented as the food service program improves the quality of meals and services provided to students. This event is an authentic method to engage our school community to support and celebrate the value of being willing to try healthy school meals. In addition to tasting samples of food, the event will also be an opportunity to provide participants with relevant information and literature about school food service. TVMS is participating in Terracycling this year!
Terracycling is a company that helps to recycle material that is not normally collected for collection. Through November 19, 2024, we are participating in the Takis recycling competition. Please help us by collecting your empty Takis bags and bringing them to TVMS to place in the collection box in the cafeteria during all lunch shifts. The top 3 schools will win some fabulous prizes and the top school will win a Takis celebration with a Takis truck!!! Help TVMS win by collecting your empty Takis bags and bringing them to school! Thanks!

Clothing to Cash Recycling Program!
Our large white collection bin is at the edge of the school parking lot nearest Hanover Hills Elementary School. Please help us fill our bin with as many plastic bags of new or gently used clothing, shoes and other textiles. Our school will earn money for every pound we collect.

FAMILY FILE UPDATE
Update your family information for the new school year. It is mandatory that all parents/ guardians verify and/ or update emergency information for each child each school year. Updating this information provides us with the most current emergency contact information, and also ensures that you are receiving important information and updates for HCPSS and TVMS.
Log in to HCPSS Connect, select the More Options tab on the left and then select Family File in the center column.
Outside Food Expectations
Food delivery services (i.e. Door Dash, Uber Eats, etc.) are not allowed. Delivery will be refused as we do not have the capability to process this during the school day. If a parent would like to bring their child's lunch to the school, we ask that you do so prior to the start of your child's lunch shift. Parents will need to leave the lunch with our Front Office staff.
