This is North Elementary's Newsletter that will be periodically sent by Infinite Campus Messenger and posted to the NES PTO Facebook page. This is a hub of information! There are several 'buttons' ( horizontal bars) that lead to more information and are clickable throughout the newsletter.
Dear NES Community,
Mark your calendars for Fall Literacy Night, October 17 from 5-6:00 pm! We will once again be playing Bingo! There will be prizes and treats! The Book Fair will also be open!
Check out the 'button' above (rectangular bar) titled, "Halloween Parade, Party and Costume Information" to learn how NES will celebrate Halloween!
Mum Fundraiser pick up is this Sunday, September 29 from 12-3:00 at NES. If you do not pick up your order by 3pm, any remaining mums will be donated to another local organization.
Please reach out to your child's classroom teacher to schedule your conference either on October 16 or October 24. Conferences run from 2:30-5:30 and are 15 minutes each. Email addresses of your child's teacher can be found by clicking the button below.
Have you heard about the fruit and vegetable snacks that we have been enjoying? Kelly Kaminski, our Director of Nutritional Services attained free fruits/vegetables through a grant program for both North and South Elementaries two to three days per week! Our students have been able to snack on fresh apples from local farms, papaya, cauliflower, sugar snap peas, celery, grapes, etc. The grant also comes with an educational piece, allowing our students to learn more about fruits and vegetables they may never have tasted!

Our 3rd graders will be taking the English Language Arts Ohio State Test on October 22 & 23. Please do not schedule appointments on these days.
There is no school Friday, October 11, Fall Break.
October 15-18, students will get to the visit the Book Fair during Library classes.
Please make sure that you have logged into Infinite Campus and completed the annual update for your child. If you need assistance with this, call our office or come in and we will help you.
Are you or someone you know looking for a flexible and rewarding part-time job? Consider becoming a substitute at NES! We need teacher subs (High School diploma required), recess subs, cafeteria and kitchen subs, aide subs....take your pick!
