Plano Band Weekly Announcements

All band classes will have a substitute teacher this Wednesday-Friday. Students are expected to be your best as you are every day. Sit in your assigned seats with your instruments at the beginning of class for attendance reporting. Students should rehearse chamber ensembles in auxiliary room or practice rooms for the duration of the class period. Please be helpful, welcoming, and respectful to our substitute teacher. No stupid stuff.

ALL CURRENT JUNIORS & SOPHOMORES ARE REQUIRED TO JOIN THE FOLLOWING TWO GROUPS:

Plano Chamber Winds Festival, February 24 - $10 entry fee DUE NOW

4. Full Orchestra Pre-UIL Concert, tomorrow @ RFAC

• 3:45p: all available leadership meet at RFAC for set-up
• 5:15p: full ensemble call-time for rehearsal/sound check
• 6:30p: rehearsal ends, house opens
• 7:00p: concert begins

1. UIL Solo & Ensemble Registration & Entry Fee - PAST DUE!

• please register and pay at www.pshsband.org

2. UIL Solo & Ensemble Participants:

• SOLOS - if you are playing an accompanied solo at UIL, your accompaniment part should already be in the hand of your accompanist!
• SOLOS & ENSEMBLES - on the day of the contest, you must provide an original to the judge (copies of the music are not allowed). Measures must be numbered. Your advanced planning will help ensure a successful contest day!

4. Band Spring Trip Payment #7 - $116 - DUE Feb. 28 - final payment ($772 total in account)

• Room/bus/cruise boat sign-ups will begin Feb. 24 & end Mar 3. There will be 3 buses, 2 cruise boats holding 60 each, and rooms with 6 students per room. Begin thinking/planning now!!!
