District 103
Changes in School Lunch Program & Activity Fees
Families who are interested in having Quest, D103's lunch provider, offer meals for their student for the upcoming school year should sign up through Quest Food Management Services. Lunch will cost $4.90 a meal and will include an entrée, side item, fruit, vegetable, and beverage. Quest will offer à la carte options at two schools along with a fruit and veggie bar at all three schools. Tuesday is Pizza and Ice Cream Day. Meals are $5.90 on Tuesdays.
Quest Food Management Services' lunch program is a cashless, prepaid system. Families should put money in their child’s MySchoolBucks account if they plan to purchase meals. Families should also download the lunch menus to discuss the meal options with their child, if desired.
The easiest way to add money is through the MySchoolBucks platform. The mobile app will alert you to low lunch balances.
If you had an account in 2019, simply log into the platform.
Families new to MySchoolBucks should sign up with their student’s name and District 103 identification number (ID) from PowerSchool.
To locate your child’s ID, log into PowerSchool.
Click on Quick Links > Main Portal Page.
Your child's student ID is listed next to their name as Grades And Attendance > Child's Name > Student ID.
Families may also add money to their child’s lunch account by dropping off a check addressed to Quest at the school office. Be sure to include your child’s first and last name and District 103 ID.
Download the FD MealPlanner app to view daily lunch options and to view allergens and nutrition.
Occasional food shortages may result in menu options changing without notice.
Information about the school lunch program can be found in the Quest Food Management Services Brochure. For questions about school lunches, please reach out to Vicky Shargo, Food Service Director, at vshargo@questfms.com.
Activity Fee Changes
The extracurricular and after school activities fees have been updated for the 2022-2023 school year. The fees have not been adjusted in the past 5 years. The new fee structure is based on the number of meetings that occur during the year or seasonal session (Fall, Winter, Spring).
Activities that meet 10 times or less per year or seasonal session have a $25 fee applied. The fee for activities that meet between 10 and 20 times will be $75. The fee for activities that meet more than 20 times per year will be $100. Service organizations such as Student Council, Wright Way Club, and Leaders in Learning have a $25 fee applied.
The changes in the fee structure will ensure the District continues to provide many, high quality extra curricular and after school programs for our students.
