Upcoming Waite Spring Events

Join us at Culvers from 4:00-8:00 this Wednesday, April 17! Waite teachers will be serving food and proceeds will benefit the Waite PTO. Please come out to show your support and enjoy a fun family meal with the Waite community!

All Waite families (including our new Waite families from Blake) are invited to join us on April 26 at 6:00 in the evening. There will be a Meet and Greet where new families from Blake will have an opportunity to meet current Waite families. There will be food trucks and a family friendly movie. Please see details below:

7:00-8:30: Family movie in the gym (Encanto).

The Spring Fine Arts Festival is on Wednesday, May 1 (6:00PM-7:00PM). All families are welcome to attend. Mrs. Hayden and Mrs. Hoffmann have been working hard with students to prepare for this signature Waite event.

The 3rd Grade Basketball Rhythm Musical Performance will take place at 6:30PM in the cafeteria during the Fine Arts Festival (5/1). This energizing musical event is something students and parents look forward to each year. We hope you can join us.

Century Cycles in Medina has closed its doors as of Friday, March 1. With that said, that changes the face of Bike to School Week. We will continue to move forward with Bike to School for this year, May 6 through May 10. Bob Soroky from Century Cycles will provide some support, but this will become a District initiative for this year. There will be daily giveaways including water bottles for National Bike to School Day which is Wednesday, May 8. Kiwanis will also have a helmet giveaway on Monday, May 6. We are working to have Kiwanians help distribute the helmets. There will not be any rider cards to stamp for the week.

Please join us on Tuesday May, 7 at 5:30 in the Waite cafeteria/gym for the spring Glee Club and Steel Pan concert. Mrs. Hoffmann has been working hard with students to prepare for this special performance.

The 5th Grade Musical Performance will be on Friday, May 10 (6:00PM) in the cafeteria/gym. Students are asked to dress in attire that represents an area of passion in their lives (i.e. football jersey, karate uniform, dance spirit wear, etc).

A Sign-Up Genius for donations will be sent to parents soon. Also, Secretary Day is Wednesday, April 24. We are so grateful for the hard work and dedication of our amazing administrative assistants: Mrs. Sharon Terrion and Mrs. Laura Wyatt.

Please continue to monitor updates from teachers. There are many upcoming field trips and other additional activities, including end-of-year classroom parties and many 5th grade activities that were communicated to parents in a separate newsletter. I will continue to provide updates and reminders as we move into the end of the school year.
