Panther Tales
September 12, 2024
Principal's Message
We’ve had another fantastic week filled with learning, growth, and community spirit. It was great to see so many of our students attend our first Foundation Spirit Night. Panther spirit was strong and our many athletes did a fantastic job!
As we step into this vibrant month of September, we are excited to kick off our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, running from September 15 through October 15. This annual event is an opportunity for us to honor the rich history, culture, and contributions of Hispanic and Latinx communities. We have an array of activities and events planned to engage our students and celebrate our diverse heritage, and we warmly invite you to join us in these festivities.
Lastly, thank you to all the parents and guardians for attending our Title 1 Meeting and Curriculum Night. If you were not able to attend the meeting, you can view our Annual Title 1 Presentation by clicking the link below. You can also review the slides from our Virtual Club fair. I am extremely grateful to our staff members who have committed to making such a wide variety of clubs available to our students. Students will have the chance to sign up for clubs tomorrow during their compass period.
Be sure to check out the details below to help with your weekly planning. We look forward to a month of enrichment and celebration together!
Warm regards,
Principal Thomas Garrett

6th Grade Health Lessons and Parent Options
The enhancement of health knowledge, attitudes and problem-solving skills is the focus of instruction in 6th grade health education. Parent(s) have the option of removing their child from the sexual health unit at each grade level, thus allowing parents adequate time to review materials used in the course, talk with the teacher, and make an informed decision about their child’s participation. Parents must notify the school in writing if they choose to remove their child from the unit. For more information and the opt-out form, click here: 6th Grade Sex Ed Opt Out Letter (1)
