Qualifications
1. They must be at least thrity years old.
2.They must have been citizens of the United States for at least the past nine years.
3. They must live in the state at the time of elections.
Terms of office
The terms last for six years per person, but the terms are made so that 1/3 of the seats are elected elected every two years.
Salary & Benefits
They make 174,000 a year but the head leaders make 193,000 a year. They also receive retirement and health benefits like any other federal member.
Privelages
Protect them from carrying out thier legaslative duties.
