A Message From Mr. Hansel
In a corner of the county, where the sunsets glow,
Lies a place we call home, where friendships grow.
From the first morning bell to the last bus ride,
There’s something special about Cascade pride.
Hallways echo with laughter, stories, and cheer,
Neighbors become family year after year.
We rally together, through thick and thin,
In this tight-knit community, we all win.
Friday night lights, the crowd on its feet,
Victory or loss, our support's still complete.
Teachers who care, who go the extra mile,
Students who lead with heart and a smile.
We build each other up, lend a helping hand,
Dream big, work hard, and take a stand.
Traditions run deep, our spirits run high,
Like the Cadets who soar, we reach for the sky.
So here’s to Cascade, our pride and our grace,
A one-of-a-kind, unforgettable place.
Together we shine, together we stay—
Forever Cascade, come what may.

The College Goal Sunday team is very happy to announce that the expert FAFSA filing help Hoosiers receive every year on College Goal Sunday, will continue this year through March 23rd! As many of you know, the Federal Student Aid site was down Sunday, making filing of the form impossible during the actual event time. While attendees were able to get many questions answered, and talk financial aid overall as well, we want to be certain that every Indiana family needing FAFSA filing assistance, receives it.
To connect with the College Goal Sunday experts, simply direct families to CollegeGoalSunday.org. Families will be able to connect with our FAFSA filing experts quickly and easily through information on the page and will also be eligible for our drawing for 1 of 5 $1,000 scholarships!

Show up and Show out!
Luke always works hard in class, has a smile on his face, and is quick to help others as they work through problems. He takes making mistakes well, though he is rarely wrong. He is an asset to the classroom environment. And he has some of the best neighbors ever! (Mr. Alspaugh)
she always comes to school ready to work hard. She is very pleasant to have in class and is always respectful to everyone around her. She is a student that TRULY cares about her education. She is an absolute delight. I have really enjoyed getting to know her and building a relationship with her. (Mrs. Parker)
Trevor Lawson puts an extreme amount of effort into doing well in class. He is always prepared for class and is willing to participate and collaborate with others. He is also a very polite young man who is kind to everyone.(Mrs. Scharrer) Trevor Lawson is an outstanding student. He is more than willing to help out his classmates. He always has a positive attitude. (Mr. Gullion)
Lucy is doing great in class due to her work ethic and determination. She brings a positive energy to the class and to her group on a daily basis. (Mr. Moeller)
February brought our hardest chapter of the year. Knowing this, Nate worked extra hard to get help with topics he struggled with. While many students caved in to the pressure of this chapter, Nate stepped up. He persevered. And while most students received their lowest score of the year, Nate received his highest score of the year. Nate is the perfect example of perseverance and grit that we hope for all of our students at Cascade. I am so proud of him for proving to himself that he can be successful! (Mr. Anderson)
Nate Anderson--Nate has been working so hard this semester! He has devoted significant time and effort to his research paper and presentation, consistently seeking clarification and making sure everything is done to the best of his ability. His commitment has been truly impressive. I am so proud of his dedication and focus. (Mrs. Gee)
Riese Myers is a quiet giant. She is an academic force, a very hard worker, and might be the sweetest person on the planet. She is fair and logical and is always thinking of others first. Her presence on the mock trial team is unrivaled. Her initiative to start a club devoted to mental health awareness is impressive. What a great kiddo. (Ms. Bauer) Riese Myers: As a member of the now state finalist Mock Trial team she missed a Friday in February for the team's trip to Evansville. Unlike some of her peers, rather than take the morning off, she arrived to school early for a chem study session, then managed to take all of her tests before the 11:45 departure. That showed dedication, accountability, and integrity. Since then she has launched the BC2M group at Cascade fostering inclusion and positive mental health. She is a positive leader and we are blessed to have her. (Ms. Paradise)
Beau has really stepped up his game second semester, which is unusual for a senior. He pays attention in class and does well on assignments. We even talk from time to time about films in the genres that we are studying in class. (Ms. Paradise)
Grace has stepped up this year and has acted as a leader in class and in FFA. She has organized the entire greenhouse in expectation of our spring flower program, and has been a great help in class, also assisting the Thrive students without being asked to. I appreciate her hard work and her leadership this year! (Mrs. Searcy)
The mission of Youth Leadership Hendricks County is to seek, prepare, and develop potential young leaders from diverse backgrounds, and instill within them a commitment to responsible involvement in community and county-wide challenges. Cascade High school is so proud of our youth leaders who are participating in the this program. Lillianna Sullivan, Aiden Ridenour, Evelyn Bolinger, Izzy Guetig, Cohen Brennan
