Highlights from the Greenwich Township School District Board of Education Meeting March 19, 2024
A presentation was given by Mr. John Tirico, Director Child Study Team, for Report Period #1, July 1, 2023 -December 30, 2023. HIB (Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying)
Enrollment: 430
1. Superintendent Recommendations Approved
A. Approval of the settlement agreement between the Greenwich Township Board of Education and the Greenwich Township Education Association.
B. Hire Lori Zane, Substitute Secretary, $20.00 per hour on an as needed basis.
C. Use of accrued personal days, above three in a year, Ellen Delaney, for 3/7/24, full day.
D. Approval of requests for FMLA; Frederick Buri, Jr., Sharon Gomez-Salvatore, and Patricia Seiner.
E. Appointment of the School Safety Team for the 2024-2025 school year.
2. Policy & Regulations
A. 22 updated or new policies and regulations. One policy for abolishment.
3. Budget & Finance:
A. NJDOE 2022-2023 per pupil costs-tuition with calculation detailed printout
B. Retroactive approval of contract with the Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired, 9/1/23-6/30/24, at a cost of $2,200.00.
4. Report of the School Business Administrator/Board Secretary- Approved
A. Bills Lists with payroll
B. Student Activities Account statement for February 2024
C. Board Secretary Reports - February 2024
D. Treasurer Reports - February 2024
E. Transfer Lists - February 2024
5. Buildings & Grounds:
A. Use of facilities request from Guardian Angels Regional School, Talent Show, BSS auditorium, May 16, 2024, and May 17, 2024, from 4:30 - 9 pm.
6. Public Session: Public question and comment included such topics as: None
7. Executive Session - Yes
8. Approval to Submit the Tentative Budget for 2024-2025 to the County Office

Ryan McVeigh - Science Teacher NMS -
Mr. McVeigh does many wonderful things in and out of the class, to make the lives of those around him better each day! He recently proposed a new elective (coding) for the 24.25 school year. Mr. McVeigh supports his colleagues, plans and completes fundraisers, and is always there for students and staff.

ALL SOUTH JERSEY HONORS BAND!!! Mr. Haney, Music Teacher, is proud to announce Greenwich Township School District has six students participating in the All South Jersey Elementary Honors Band! This event is composed of the best of 4th-6th grade students in all of South Jersey. Congratulations to the following students who will represent our District: Katelyn Barow, Dominic Ferretti, Sophia Henderson, Sophia Melnychuck, Nolan Forlano, and Juliana Fisler.

South Jersey Jr High Band attended by Abbie Chapkowski!
The All South Jersey Jr High Band performed their annual concert, and our very own Abbie Chapkowski was in attendance. Performing 6 charts including the National Anthem and the soundtrack to the Nightmare Before Christmas, it was a tremendous job by these performers! Thank you, Abbie, for representing Greenwich Township School District.
