Principal Update
Dear Parents and Caregivers
Welcome back to Term 4! I hope the students enjoyed the break after a busy Term 3 and are feeling refreshed for what will be another busy last term for this school year. I have been listening to a podcast about what makes great relationships and thought I would summarise a few key points as at the heart of any school or organisation that you are a part where relationships are key. Furthermore it is our duty as a school to ensure your child reaches their full potential by instilling in a hard work, perseverance through challenges and learning through failure. This is how we grow academically and personally to face life's challenges when they grow up.
High-Quality Relationships
At the heart of our school community is the importance of building and nurturing strong relationships. Positive connections among students, staff, and families foster an environment where everyone feels valued and supported. This term, let’s focus on:
- Respect and Kindness: Encourage your children to practice kindness daily, whether it’s through words of encouragement, helping a friend, or simply listening attentively.
- Collaboration: Working together enhances learning. We’ll be emphasising teamwork in our classrooms and during group activities, reminding students that collaboration leads to success.
- Open Communication: We welcome feedback and encourage open dialogue between home and school. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any concerns or suggestions.
Work Ethic and Academic Excellence
As we head into the final stretch, maintaining a strong work ethic is essential. Here are a few ways we can support this focus:
- Setting Goals: Encourage your children to set personal and academic goals for the term. This practice helps instill a sense of responsibility and purpose.
- Embracing Challenges: Let’s remind our students that challenges are opportunities for growth. Encouraging a positive attitude towards difficult tasks will foster resilience.
- Celebrating Achievements: As we approach the end of the year, we’ll take time to celebrate all the achievements, big and small. Recognising progress can be incredibly motivating for our students.
Looking Ahead
This term will be filled with exciting activities, including end-of-year projects, performances, and our annual school celebrations. I encourage all families to participate and show support for our students and staff.
Let’s make this final term the best one yet! Together, we can create an atmosphere of high expectations, positive relationships, and a shared commitment to excellence.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our school community.
Boys toilets
Can I please ask that each parent/guardian please speak to your child about appropriate toilet use from years 1-6 at school. The toilets have been left by students to an unsatisfactory standard this term and this need to be improved. Specifically, around the amount of toilet paper being wasted and flushing after use. All students should have access to a clean and flushed toilet upon entry to the cubical. I will be speaking to the students about this at school but would appreciate your support in this matter.
Have a lovely weekend with your friends and family.
Warm regards,
Andrew Gaudoin
