TMS Family Update Oct 1
Participation Responsibility Integrity Determination Effort
Message from the principal
Dear TMS Families,
October is here and that always means two things: progress reports and parent-teacher conferences. Here are the details you need to know.
- Progress reports are unofficial, 9-week grade updates (only semester grades go on transcripts). The grading period ends on October 11 and grades are then captured (finalized) on October 16. Progress reports/report cards are NOT mailed home. They are accessed on Infinite Campus in the Parent Portal after October 16. Reach out to us if you need help with access.
- Parent teacher conferences are held in the MPR on Thursday, October 17 from 3-6 PM. No appointment is necessary. Doors close at 5:50 PM.
If your student needs extra support, please reach out to teachers directly or to your student's counselor. We'll assist them to get the help they need.
Also, we get a lot of questions about e-bikes and e-scooters. I've attached information below that has been sent out before, but it's a good reminder. Take a look if you have a student who uses electric transportation.
Sincerely,
Mr. Morton
iReady information for parents
As you probably know, students are required to complete iReady lessons for part of their intervention period each week. It's an important tool and we're providing more and more incentives for students to complete their required lessons. In addition, 3 times per year students complete a comprehensive "Diagnostic" that gives us a ton of important data about student progress and proficiency. For those who are interested, I've attached more information below.
Hot weather expected this week
Dress code reminders
- Wearing sandals without a back strap violates our school dress code. Shoes are best.
- Wearing shirts that advertise adult products like alcohol violates our dress code.
- Wearing of pajamas is not good for the academic environment we are trying to create. Save pajamas for "Spirit Days" involving PJs.
- Wearing hoods inside the gates violates our dress code.
- Undergarments must be covered at all times.
Thank you for your support.
