Open Doors: Scat and Tracks
The Scat and Tracks program is off to an awesome start! Thanks to the VT Fish and Wildlife initiative, students kicked things off by learning all about Whitetail Deer. Then, they headed outside to search for scat (yes, that means poop!) and tracks. And guess what? While they didn’t find any deer tracks, they did spot some cottontail rabbit tracks—how cool is that?
If the chilly weather sticks around, they’ll visit some trout being kept at school and take part in the Art of Conservation: National Fish Art Contest. It’s an exciting mix of learning, exploring, and creating!
