Peer Helpers are partnering with Southside Baptist to sponsor a donation drive for the hurricane victims. All supplies are due by Thursday, 10/10. See the graphic below for items to donate.

Thursday: Even Block Day: FCA meets at 7:15 in LC; End of the 1st 9 Weeks; Herff Jones will be on campus during Panther Period to meet with seniors; Path lesson for 9th-11th grade during Panther - Free math tutoring after school 3-4 (see Mr. Bell); Chick Fil A food truck will be at the field house from 4-6 as a fundraiser for Quiz Bowl! Plan to eat dinner there Thursday night!

Friday: Fall Break - No School! Southside vs. Buckhorn at Barney Hood Stadium - Kickoff 7:00! Theme - Pink Out!

Students: Sit with someone new at lunch this week!

Tuesday, October 22, Sophomores will be taking the PreACT. This is a required state assessment. Seniors will be taking the WorkKeys test on the same day. This is also a required state assessment. 9th and 11th grade students will have an E-Learning day. All sophomores and seniors will need to be at school at regular time. Tardy bell will ring at 7:45.

All students that are tardy, checking-in to school or checking out of school MUST GO THROUGH THE FRONT OFFICE. We have a new finger scan system in place (very similar to the lunchroom finger scan system) where each student will scan in or out with check-in/check-outs and tardies.

A parent, guardian, or someone on your check-out list MUST sign you out of school to checkout. This is the same as always. The student must then go through the office to scan out before leaving. This procedure must be followed.

We do not accept over the phone checkouts. Please do not call the school for a checkout. Someone on the students checkout list must come and sign the student out of school.

Please remember how important attendance at school is! Please don't checkout of school unless absolutely necessary. If you are absent, please turn excuses in to front office.

Please remember to follow our dress code policy! Remember - Cell phones are not allowed to be out or used in any classroom! Only clear or mesh backpacks allowed in classrooms. Fast food and outside drinks are not allowed in the building! Please throw this away before entering the building.

Students are not allowed to exit the building to go to your car, even if you forgot something you really need! If you need something, you have to go through the office and an admin or SRO will escort you to your vehicle. Disciplinary consequence will apply if you do not follow these procedures!
