Pembroke Pines K12
Principal's Corner
Dear Franklin Academy Families,
As we embark on a new school year, I want to take a moment to remind you of the vital role you play in your child's education. Your participation and engagement are crucial to our success as a school community.
The Importance of Parent Participation: When parents are actively involved in their children's education, it positively impacts their academic performance, behavior, and overall well-being. Your involvement can take many forms, such as attending parent-teacher conferences, volunteering at school events, or simply staying informed about your child's progress. Each effort you make strengthens the partnership between home and school, fostering an environment where our students can thrive.
Staying Connected: To ensure you are up-to-date with the latest school news, events, and important information, we utilize various communication channels, including emails, texts, newsletters, and our website. I encourage you to regularly check these platforms to stay informed and connected. By doing so, you will be aware of upcoming events, important announcements, and opportunities to get involved.
How You Can Stay Engaged:
- Read Our Communications: Make it a habit to read the emails, texts, and newsletters we send out. These contain valuable information about school activities, deadlines, and updates.
- Visit Our Website: Our school website is a comprehensive resource for important documents, event calendars, and news updates. Bookmark it and visit regularly.
- Attend School Events: Whenever possible, attend school meetings, events, and activities. Your presence and support make a significant difference.
- Communicate with Teachers: Maintain open lines of communication with your child's teachers. They are your partners in ensuring your child's success.
Together, we can create a supportive and enriching environment for our students. Your participation and engagement are essential components of our shared mission to provide the best educational experience possible.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication to Franklin Academy. Let's make this school year a memorable and successful one for our children.
Your principal, Sergio Delgado

As a reminder, ALL families are required to complete a RAPTOR account (every family member MUST create their own so they can volunteer and receive hours) without an account earn service hours. We highly recommend families check their Raptor accounts frequently to ensure their hours are correct, hours from Raptor roll over into Powerschool at the end of each quarter. It is imperative that your Raptor account has the correct Family Service ID, without this your hours from Raptor will not roll over into Powerschool properly and you will not receive credit for your hours.
