Message From The Principal
Westbrook Families,
Thank you to all of the first and second grade families that attended our spring musicals this week! Each show had a life of it's own and your support is very much appreciated. The show would not be possible without the leadership of our music teacher, Karin Meister. Her collaboration across our staff and her dedication to support your children is truly remarkable. While it is a lot of hard work, the joy and smiles we saw from all of our students certainly made it worth it!
Next week we look forward to another spirit week here at Westbrook. It is a celebration prior to Spring Break. If you are planning to leave early for any Spring Break vacations, please make sure that this is communicated with our front office.
Below you will also find a QR code to complete the 5 Essentials Survey. This survey is critical to help us improve our practices and in order to receive results we need a total of twenty percent of all parents to complete the survey. At this time, we have three percent of all parents that have completed the survey. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take some time(not long, 10 minutes or less) to complete the survey for Westbrook. Here is a quick link for all! https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois/
Have a great weekend!
Patrick

Incoming 3rd Grade Orientation at Glen Grove on 4/29 Starting at 5:30PM
No Fooling! Registration is Coming!
2025-2026 Registration Opens April 1
Starting April 1, you can register your child for the 2025-2026 school year. Whether you are registering your first child for kindergarten or your youngest for 8th grade, register.glenview34.org will be the place to go on or after 4/1/2025!
Early Registration Deadline: Last Day of School for Students - June 3
We promise to be pleasantly persistent in reminding you to register before the early registration deadline of June 3, 2025. There’s a discount in it for you!
Families who register for the full-day kindergarten option before that deadline will pay a $3,360 fee (a $330 deposit is due at registration); the fee increases to $3,660 after the deadline.
The early registration discount for all other grades is $100.
NEW THIS YEAR - school supplies (only for K-5) and field trip fees (K-8) are included in registration fees
Fee information for the 2025-2026 school year will be posted on the website on or before April 1.
Incoming Kindergarten Families - Save the Date!
Do you have an incoming kindergartener? Sign up for your information night now! Share this information with neighbors and friends!
Families can again choose to extend their child's day to a full-day experience with additional academic and social-emotional programming, and time for lunch and play. Families also have the option to choose a half-day program.
On May 7 from 6-7pm, Henking, Lyon, and Westbrook are hosting information nights for incoming kindergarten families (adults only - students will have opportunities to visit their school closer to the start of the school year). You’ll meet the principal and other school staff, learn about the kindergarten program, and take a tour of the kindergarten classrooms. School staff will be able to answer questions about registration as well.
Please sign up for Kindergarten Information Night!
Learn more about kindergarten at glenview34.org/kindergarten and please share this information with any friends or neighbors who have children who will be entering kindergarten.
Dental health is an important part of a child’s overall health – we love to see our students’ healthy smiles!
This spring, District 34 is bringing Orland Park Dental Services (OPDS) to our schools to provide dental exams to any of our students who need them. As a reminder, the State of Illinois requires students in grades K, 2, and 6 to submit proof of a dental exam – but these in-school appointments with OPDS are open to any and all students! They provide dental services to children on public aid as well as those with private dental insurance.
The exams are provided by caring, licensed dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants with state-of-the-art portable dental equipment. OPDS has been providing in-school dental services since 1999 and their healthcare professionals ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment within the schools.
Parents and guardians who complete the consent form do not have to join their child at the appointment (but you are welcome to come in). If you have questions or need assistance, contact District Nurse Shari Stadler.
Yearbook Cover Contests - Deadline April 4th
