Important Times To Remember in 2024-2025...
The first day of school is Tuesday, August 20th.
Each school day officially ends at 2:26 p.m. Students who leave early do lose attendance time. All parts of the school day are important!
Parent Drop-Off and Pick-Up: behind the Middle School building. This allows us to have proper security and supervision for students arriving and departing school.
NO STUDENT DROP-OFFS OR PICK-UPS CAN OCCUR IN FRONT OF THE BUILDING DUE TO THE ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE OF BUSES.
Please review the following highlights, but be sure to read the entire Student Handbook.
IN THE EVENT OF SCHOOL CANCELLATIONS OR EARLY RELEASES:
In the case of inclement weather or other reasons, parents will be contacted by the School Messenger program. Please make sure we have your current contact information updated in our office. With School Messenger, you can expect an email, text, and phone call.
Parent Drop-Off and Pickup:
Parent Drop-Off and Pickup are behind the Middle School.
Directions In: Turn off Hwy 61-67 at the south entrance, behind the Intermediate Center
Directions Out: Exit onto Windsor Harbor and continue to Hwy 61-67.
No outside food and drinks, or food/drink from the cafeteria will be allowed inside or outside the building (except in the cafeteria).
REPORT CARDS
We share academic progress reports with parents/guardians at mid-quarter and the end of each quarter. Parents will be notified when these reports are available in Infinite Campus. Grades are determined based on daily classwork, tests, and projects. The accepted marking systems are as follows:
CHROMEBOOK USAGE DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR:
Each student can and will be given a school-issued Chromebook. This device will be kept by the student and the student is responsible for this device for all three years at WMS.
CELL PHONES:
Cell phones are not allowed out, in the classroom, except for educational purposes.
All students should turn devices off and put devices away before entering the school building.
Phones that are exposed unintentionally (for example, falling out of a purse) shall not be in violation if upon inspection the phone is OFF. If the phone is on, even on silent or vibrate, the phone will be confiscated.
If a student needs to make a call during the day, he or she may do so from the office phone.
If a parent needs to get in touch with a student, the parent may do so by contacting the WMS office.
Lost or stolen cell phones or electronic devices are not the responsibility of the Windsor C-1 School District.
Violations:
If a student has a phone or electronic device that is visible, it will be confiscated and kept in the office. Any student who is in violation of this policy and refuses to surrender the phone/device will result in an office referral. The phone will be turned into the office, where the student can pick it up at the end of the school day.
