Weekly Family Communication
The mission of Holy Rosary School is to help each child discover and fully develop their God-given talents. As a Catholic School community, we strive for excellence in our students’ spiritual, academic, physical, mental, aesthetic, and social-emotional growth. It is our intention that those who attend this institution mature into active citizens leading a committed faith life and reaching out to help others locally, nationally, and internationally with their wisdom, time, talent, and financial resources.
Principal's Message
Dear Holy Rosary Families,
Yesterday was our first school Mass and Father Tim and Father Phuong were both present with our school community. Both commented on how incredible it was to look out and see us filling the whole church! The Mass of the Holy Spirit is a special way to start the year, calling forth the spirit to be present in our community. School Mass will continue every Wednesday morning at 8:45 am unless a Holy Day falls within the week, and families are always welcome to attend with us. School Mass is an important part of our school week and faith formation, and a time that we expect all students to be in attendance unless they are sick from school for the day.
I am looking forward to seeing you all this evening for Back to School Night. We'll begin in the church at 6:30 (doors open at 6:00 pm) with a short presentation and you'll have the chance to hear from our new Pastor Father Phuong. We will then move over to the school for presentations in the classrooms.
If we can be of any service to your family as we embark on this school year, please don't hesitate to reach out!
In Christ,
Anna

We will have volunteers on-site to accept your donations next Sunday (Sept. 15) from 9am to 3pm, and again the following Tuesday (Sept. 17) from 3pm to 8pm so mark your calendars and start digging through your boxes and shelves for books to donate. Westfest Cake Walk
Drop off desserts from 12-4pm on Friday, Sept 20th in the GYM office. We are looking for two 8th grade volunteers to help that day. Contact Britnie O’Farrell if you can fill this spot! Brofarrell@yahoo.com.
1 dessert is equals 1 volunteer hour. You can bring up to 4 (3 store bought & 1 homemade). Please label your treats if they are allergy friendly (Gluten free, dairy free, egg free, etc..)
-Smaller portioned desserts/more shareable (donuts, cupcakes, cookies)
-Cakes are fine too, but it makes it fun for the kids to be able to share with their friends.
-Homemade items are fine, but please nothing perishable (example: cheesecake, buttercream frosting, something raw or unbaked) We do not have a place to refrigerate. The items need to be able to sit out for up to 2 days without spoiling. We had mostly store-bought items last year and it was fine! The Safeway sugar cookies with frosting are a big hit with the kids!

Extracurricular Activities
CYO Cross Country Coaches Needed
Cross country is right around the corner, and we still need coaches! Our goal - have 3 coaches per age grouping for safety in the park and successful practices.
The greatest need is for 2nd/3rd grade. We do not have any coaches for that group.
We could also use additional volunteers for K/1st and 6th/7th/8th.
No experience is needed. Coaching cross country is a great way to earn volunteer hours and get a workout while providing a valuable experience for the kids. Please reach out to Lisa Nooyen (ldnooyen@yahoo.com) with any questions.
UW Volleyball
We are excited to invite CYO out for a huge outing with UW Volleyball! CYO will be our "Team of the Game" and will get access to special shoutouts, a pre-game photo on the court, and a select group getting onto the court for pregame warmups.
This will be a day full of fun here with UW Volleyball. Doors will open 1 hour before First Serve.
Upon purchasing tickets contact Mark Webb and include:
- Numbers of students attending
- Name of School
