We are kicking off the series by walking verse-by-verse through a passage of 1 Timothy where the Apostle Paul instructs Timothy on the value of training in godliness. As we unpack the wisdom of these instructions, we will help our students build godly habits, become a godly example, and develop a godly focus.

MAIN IDEA: We become godly by training ourselves to do what we can and trusting God to do what we can’t.

ANCHOR TEXT: 1 Timothy 4:7-16 NLT

BRINGING IT HOME - You can use the following questions to discuss this important topic at home throughout the month!

1. What does it mean to you that God can use anyone for His purposes, no matter their past?
2. Paul tells Timothy to "set an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity." Which of these is easiest for you? Which is hardest?
3. How can teens set a positive example for others, even if they feel underestimated because of their age?
4. Parents: How can you encourage your teen to be a godly example in their community?
5. Find a reading plan on YouVersion Bible App to do together around this important issue!!

ANY STUDENT COMPLETING 6th-12th GRADES this school year is NOT going to want to miss out on this time to reset on Jesus before going back to school! Happening APRIL 20TH-21st!! The event starts at NBC at 4:00pm on Sunday afternoon and ends on Monday with pick up at 4:00pm from NBC!

The registration cost is only $30 and includes all meals, lodging, transportation! You will be able to register online or in person at NBC GENERATIONS MINISTRY counter starting January 5th. You can pay at HERE under NBCY Events.
