Heatherwood Middle School April 2025 Issue
Dear Families,
As we continue through the school year, we look forward to maintaining our academic focus, campus involvement and finishing the 2024-25 school year strong. Reminding our students to have respect for self, others, and our campus community builds a strong and supportive community for everyone. When we work together—students, families, and educators—we create an environment where everyone feels safe, valued, and supported.
Reminders:
- Drop Off and Pick Up in our Upper Lot: Please drop off and pick up students along the curb only. For safety reasons, please do not drop off or pick up students in the middle aisles of the parking lot.
- Student Dress Code Reminders: As warmer days approach; we remind students to follow the school dress code. Please refer to the student handbook on our website. We encourage modesty in attire while playing and learning at school.
- Town Center and Local Establishments: We ask our students not to loiter at the Town Center or be a disturbance at local establishments. The Town Center and local businesses ask that our students be respectful citizens and represent our school in a positive manner.
For Our Students
It is never too late to get involved! We encourage all students to continue to explore the many clubs and activities available at our school. These opportunities not only foster friendships but also build leadership skills, confidence, and a sense of belonging. Additionally, students can take advantage of Success Time after school to receive extra academic support, ensuring they have the tools they need to thrive. Encouraging your child to participate in school life outside of the classroom strengthens their connection to their peers and the school community.
For Our Parents & Guardians
Your involvement plays a crucial role in your child’s success. Staying informed and engaged in our school community helps reinforce the values of kindness and compassion at home and in school. Its never too late to join our PTA, participate in the Natural Leaders program, and explore volunteer opportunities. Whether it’s helping in the classroom, supporting events, or being an advocate for your child’s education, your engagement makes a lasting impact.
Together, through small acts of kindness and active participation, we can cultivate a school environment where every student feels encouraged and empowered.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support of our Heatherwood campus. Hawk Pride!

The first fundraiser runs from April 1 to April 21 and is entirely online through Poppin Popcorn. Students will receive an email with details on how to participate. They can then share their personalized popcorn sales link with family and friends. Heatherwood Middle School will receive 50% of all sales. Click here to register: https://poppinpopcornonline.com/participant/register.php?g=JMLZEK
The second fundraiser is an online donation campaign hosted directly on the Heatherwood Middle School website from April 1 to April 30. The school will retain 100% of these donations. Click here to donate: https://wa-everett-lite.intouchreceipting.com/
Funds raised from both events will help purchase a new gym scoreboard, comfortable reading chairs for the library, a new gym logo, and updated team uniforms.
