8th Grade Trip
Hello 8th graders and 8th grade parents/guardians,
We are in a last push to fill a fourth bus for the DC Trip.
The waitlist has grown, but we still need some more students before we have enough to run it.
Students - talk to your friends and get them to sign up ASAP! If we do not have enough students on the waitlist by Jan 21 then we will not get the fourth bus.
Students - we are having a meeting in February/March for you to sign up with your roommates. Remember there are 4 kids in each room.
It is going to be a fun trip!
~Miss Sunday
Welcome Back!! All of us in the counseling office hope that our RMS families had a relaxing break and are ready to move forward through the new year. As we enter the second half of the school year we look forward to helping all of our students reach their goals and find success. As always, we are here to support not only the students, but also the parents if you have questions or concerns. We know that it takes a village to raise children and we are for you if you need us. Please do not hesitate to reach out. Happy New Year!!

Upcoming Dates:
Tuesday, January 28th, 2025: Course presentations for Rising 8th Graders:
Instead of paper, a Google Form will be sent to the students school email
The requirement is that parent/guardian and student sit together to complete the form
The deadline to submit is Friday, January 31st at 11:59pm
Students who do not submit a form will have their electives chosen based on availability
★ 8th Grade
Welcome Back!! Our 8th grade students will be creating their College Board accounts soon in preparation for the PSAT in the spring. These accounts are very important because they allow students to access their scores and provide important test taking information. In order to create their accounts students will need to have an email account, other than their school email. This is done because students can access this account after they graduate from high school. They will also need a cell phone number to use for security purposes or if they forget their password. If a student does not have a cell phone, they may use their parent’s number. It would be extremely helpful if you could help your student create an alternate email account if they do not already have one. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions. Thank you.
