Counselor's Corner
Ms. Hult, School Counselor
Social Emotional learning for February is all about HONESTY. Students have been hard at work developing a growth mindset- which includes goal setting, developing an understanding of their strengths and needs, and being honest with their values and intentions.
This month, we will focus on being true to our core values, beliefs, and values. Students will strengthen their self-understanding and practice setting personal goals for themselves. This will allow them to show confidence in their interactions with peers, while also developing empathy and understanding for others, too.

Curriculum Updates
Mrs. Stevens, Curriculum Service Provider
Hello Bobcat Families!
We have celebrated the 100th day of school and are going to be celebrating our students’ growth on Quarter 2 Benchmark and DIBELS Middle of Year assessments. Looking at the data, many students made great progress from Quarter 1 to Quarter 2!
We are finishing up our Middle of the Year iReady Diagnostic. This program assesses students to find out their ‘just right’ level of learning. It places them in Reading and Math and creates ‘pathways’ of learning that are designed for each student to meet their individual needs.
Quarter 3 Benchmarks for second through 6th grades are quickly approaching. The assessment window is February 24 through March 6. Your child’s teacher will communicate their testing schedule through Class Dojo.
Thank you for your partnership and participation in your child’s learning!
Proud to be a part of this Bobcat Community! Rachel Stevens, Banks CSP
Hiking Club
Watch for information about our next three hikes! As Spring nears, we look forward to some warm season hikes. We will plan one in February, March and April.
