Nurse Kendall's Update
6th grade parents:
As you are preparing for your student to attend Knox JH or another JH campus, please be aware that there are 2 vaccine requirements for 7th grade: the Tdap and Meningitis vaccines.
Normally children receive these immunizations at their 11 year old check up, so if your child has had these vaccinations please send the record to me and I will make sure they are added to the record so that they will be up-to-date for 7th grade. If they haven’t received them, please make plans to have it done soon.
Thanks!

Art
In Mr. Hunt’s art class, we are starting to work on our grid art project. Students are learning how to draw realistically and how to color with oil pastel.
In Mrs. Williams’ art class, students have been learning about weaving and working on their over/under technique.
If you have not yet had the chance to pay the Art fee for the year please find the details below. The fee can be paid through School Cash Online. Thank you!
PE
Conroe ISD will be hosting an Intermediate School Flag Football Tournament on May 16th for sixth grade students (boys and girls). Collins would like to take a team of students to compete. If your child is interested in joining the Collins team and will meet the criteria during the fourth grading period, please have them fill out the survey below. Selected students will represent our school and are expected to behave and exhibit good sportsmanship. Students will be randomly selected based on interest and slots available. https://forms.gle/FPNmL3v3EF6kyDnV8
Please make sure that your child is signed into their SSO/Google Drive to fill out the form so it records their CISD email address. Thank you!
Criteria to attend:
No referrals in the fourth grading period from the classroom or bus.
Must be passing all classes.
No missing assignments in any class.
No more than 5 tardies in the fourth grading period.
Your child has the opportunity to travel to College Park High School by school bus on April 25th, 2024 in order to participate in Physical Day. The school bus will depart from your child's intermediate school at approximately 9:00 am and will return in time for regular school dismissal.
In order for your child to participate, it is required that the left side of the 24-25 physical form is completed, signed in the appropriate places, and accompanied by a payment of $25 either in cash, check, or through online payment for the physical exam. The completed form can be returned to your child's PE Coach at any time prior to April 25th. Please refrain from sending the payment with your child until Thursday, April 25th. Please be advised that neither your child's intermediate school nor Knox JHS will be responsible for holding the money on behalf of your child.
I would like to emphasize that according to state law and CISD policy, it is mandatory for each child trying out or participating in a sport, dance, or cheer team to have a fully completed physical form on file with the coaches at Knox JHS for each school year. By signing the form in the link below, you are giving permission for your child to take part in College Park Physical Day.
