Virtual Summer School Starts Tues!

May 26th - June 12th

Three Programs to Make up for Lost Time

So many learning opportunities have been lost over the past two months, but Burchell Virtual Summer School is here to help recover some of that lost time and learning. Students have the option of three separate programs based on their needs and desires, or they can enroll in two of the programs if they are feeling really ambitious.

All options will be a continuation of remote learning. The biggest limitation, however, will be time as our program goes from Tues May 26th to June 12th. Teachers will be on call from 10 am to 3 pm Tuesdays through Fridays. Zoom meetings will be scheduled based on individual class needs.

Students will need a Chromebook for each program, so Chromebooks for summer school students do not need to be returned until June 12th. Students in Exploration of Nature will need to pick up their Adventure Back Packs at the school on Friday May 22nd from 11 am to 2 pm.

Credit Recovery

Catch up on credits or even graduate if you are close! You can finish classes you have already started, or complete new ones. You can choose to do courses through Apex or Google Classroom, and choose to earn a 'P' for credit or a letter grade.

Teachers will be available for support from 10 am to 3 pm Tuesdays - Fridays via email, Zoom, or phone. Students need to routinely check their gmail account every day for important info and feedback.

Chromebooks need to be returned on June 12th.

Onward and Upward

Turn your back yard into an adventure and science project! In this course, you will learn how to tackle outside adventures and bring nature to life through art. Three times a week you will meet with enthusiastic instructors through Zoom and earn a full credit.

Students will need to pick up a back pack with their adventure, science, and art supplies at the school on Friday, May 22nd from 11 - 2pm.

Zoom meetings will be twice a day, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays: 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM and 12:30 - 2PM.

Summit Learning Wrap up

If you didn't get a chance to finish your PFA's, Check Points, or Projects, sign up and earn that credit! If you only earned a 'P' for a class but would like to turn that into a letter grade for your transcript, enroll and make that happen!

Event Information

Pick up your Adventure Back Packs for Exploration of Nature!

All students enrolled in Exploration of Nature need to pick up their back pack of adventure, science, and art supplies from the school on Friday May 22nd from 11- 2. Just drive up to the school entrance and we will hand you your back pack.

If this time doesn't work, call the school and arrange a time to pick it up. Back packs with supplies must be returned to the school on June 12th.

When?
