Kim Taylor, Superintendent Practical Student
I am so glad to join the HHASD family for my practicum work as a superintendent. My name is Kim Taylor and I currently serve as the Director at Pathways High. I was born and raised in Milwaukee graduating from Riverside High School. I attended Lakeland College for my undergrad and received my graduate degree from Aurora University. I've been in education for 27 years and in administration for the past 15 years. I grew up knowing I wanted to be a teacher; however I never dreamed I'd be in administration.
My family of 6 lives close to Richfield in Germantown. We have 4 kids, well not kids, young adults. We adopted a son in high school that now lives in Milwaukee. We have one son who is a senior at St. Cloud University in MN where he plays basketball and will graduate with a Biology Degree. We have twin daugthers who will be entering their first year of college. My husband, Mike, and I will officially be empty nesters by September 1st. While we look forward to the next stage in life we have mixed emotions about having a quiet house!
I am not sure what hobbies we will take on in the upcoming years as we have extra time on our hands but I am hoping to travel more and enjoy the freedom from kids' schedules. I am hoping to learn much from my time at HHASD about running multiple schools as most of my time has been in leading a single school. I think my experience in highly diverse schools will bring a unique perspective as I grow alongside Dr. Villalobos.

Outdoor Garden News
A huge thank you to the Bloohm family who spent 10 hours of volunteer time working on the prairie with Jean Reif and Julie Batzler this summer!
They also took on a huge family project this summer. The Boy Scout sign near the pavilion had fallen down during a storm last winter. The Bloohm family decided to take it upon themselves to do all the necessary work to make it perfect again.
We are so thankful for their hard work!

Friess Lake Back to School Top 10
Friess Lake Arrival & Dismissal
Please check out the document below with updates regarding arrival and dismissal procedures at Friess Lake.
Remember we have two zones, the Dolphin Zone (Last Name A-K) and Flipper Zone (Last Name L-Z) to help with parking lot congestion and to avoid backing up traffic through the roundabout.
We also ask that you have your child on the right side of the car if you are in the Dolphin Zone (front of the school) and on the left side of the car if you are in the Flipper Zone (parking lot off Holy Hill Road). Please also stay in your car, we are happy to help students of the vehicle. This helps our process to run safely and and more efficiently.
On the first day parents will be allowed to walk their child in if needed. After the first day, parents will need to check into the office if coming to volunteer but will not be able to walk children to class. We like to get the students into the routine quickly as we have found this helps with the transition back to school!
News to Use from the Director of Pupil Service: Cyndi Tomich
News to Use from the Director of Pupil Service: Cyndi Tomich
Dear Holy Hill Area School District Families,
I am so excited that the start of the school year has finally arrived. As we begin to establish routines for our students I wanted to share with you some general information that will be helpful for you to know.
Special Education Procedural Safeguards:
Open House was held on Wednesday August 24, 2022. If you and your child with a disability attended this Open House you should have received a copy of the Special Education Procedural Safeguards. A copy of these safeguards must be provided to each family of children with a disability annually. Any copies that were not distributed to each family the evening of Open House were mailed out to the student’s family. If you did not receive a copy of these procedural safeguards please contact Tonie Wolf, Administrative Assistant at wolf@hhasd.org and she will be able to send you a copy for your records.
Evaluation and IEP meetings:
The Holy Hill Area School District is pleased to continue to offer evaluation and/or IEP meetings virtually as this has allowed flexibility with scheduling for both staff, students and our families. If you would prefer to have our child's meeting held in person please let your child's special education teacher know and we are happy to honor these requests.
Immunization Reminder:
Below are the immunizations that are recommended for your child depending on his/her age. The district asks that you please update your child’s immunizations as soon as possible. Parents can use the student immunization record form attached https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/forms/f0/f04020l.pdf to update your child’s immunizations or complete the waiver section within this form. The district asks that you please provide a copy of your child’s most recent immunizations or complete the waiver section of the student immunization form to make certain we maintain compliance within the district. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Jodie Dietrich at 262-628-2380.
Developmental Screening SAVE THE DATE
Holy Hill Area School District will be conducting a Developmental Screening for children ages Birth to 5 years old on Friday November 4, 2022 between 10:00am-3:00pm at Friess Lake Elementary School. You are being asked to contact Tonie Wolf at 262-628-1032 to schedule an appointment. The screening takes about 30 minutes. This screening is available to children who reside within the boundaries of Holy Hill Area School District and are not currently enrolled in school. This screening is NOT the 4K screening conducted for all incoming 4K students, which is typically held in the spring. This is a developmental screening to identify any developmental needs that may prompt the district to conduct a special education evaluation.
