Thank you so much for all of your help getting the year started. There are a couple of areas where we could really use a little more assistance!
pick up and drop off:
We appreciate everyone pulling down as far as possible and staying in line. The morning drop off is designed like a "kiss and drop." Someone in a loud, neon vest will open the door and help your child get out. Please do not exit your vehicle.
If you arrive after 8AM, and there are no staff in the vests outside, you should walk your child to the office and sign him/her in for the day. Please do not drop off and pull away if you do not see staff present.
One of the things that we have noticed is the number of parents picking up their wildcats and then crossing in the middle of the street. We have crossing guards in 3 places on the front side of the building for your safety and convenience. Since you teach them as much as we do, we need you to model the safe crossing of streets with them.
masks:
The vast majority of our wildcats are doing a great job keeping their masks on properly. We know it's hard with tiny faces! If you can please work with your child to keep the mask covering his/her nose and if he/she can't, please consider a different type or style of mask. Since you'll be emptying your child's backpack this weekend, it's a great time to wash their masks and check the fit. We appreciate it!
buses: Thank you for all your patience with the bus situation. We contract with an outside company and share your frustration with the driver shortage. Any time we become aware there will be an issue, we will notify you as soon as possible. The robo-calls/texts go to the phone number you listed when registering.
