Happy Game Week, Plano!!!!!!!!!

Required Spirit Wear will be passed out this week!

Does anyone still need to sign up for the spring trip that hasn't already done so??? If so, please do that this week!!!!

1. Polish every facet of opener!

2. Have a GREAT 1st performance on Friday!

1. Vertical Raise fundraiser, continues / ends Friday

• The fundraiser has been extended one week. We are behind where we should be. We need your help, Plano!

2. Marching Rehearsals, 4:45-6:45p

• Today, tomorrow, Thursday

3. PSHS Open House, tomorrow 5:30-7:15p

• Plano Band students are not excused from rehearsal to attend Open House!
• Parents are encouraged to come to the practice field during their student's band class to observe your hard work!! Check email from Mr. Lewis for Open House bell schedule

4. Sectionals/Masterclasses during class this week (NO PRIVATE LESSONS ON SECTIONAL DAYS

• SYMPHONIC & WIND ENSEMBLE - Tuesdays Woodwinds / Wednesdays Brass
• Concert - Wednesday

5. Pep-Rally, Friday

• DRESS: Dri-fit shirt, khaki shorts
• 9:25a - Students released from 1st period
• 9:35a - Warm-up near bridge
• 9:50a - Grandioso march to gym
• 9:58a - Pep-Rally begins

6. Football Game #2, HOME vs. Richardson HS, Friday @ 7pm. Clark Stadium

• Uniform Rack Locations: Woodwinds in Practice Room Hallway; Guard in Ens. Rm; Brass & Perc. in Band Hall
• REQUIRED ATTIRE: Dri-fit shirt, GREY Plano Band shorts, GREY Plano Band socks, marching shoes
• Students out of uniform will not march!
• This week's uniform: FORMAL
• 4:35p: Load equipment
• 5:00p: Dinner on porch/cafe
• ALL trash must be cleaned up & thrown away when finished!
• 5:20p: Change into uniform pants & marching shoes - NO JEWELRY / HAIR UP!!!
• Carry shako box (with poncho inside) & garment bag (with jacket & gauntlets inside) to bus
• 5:40p: Load Bus
• 5:50p: Arrive to stadium / immediately change into full uniform on the bus
• 6:10p: Exit bus in FULL uniform with all zippers zipped up (take shako in box with you) / unload
• Neatly stack cases & shako boxes (with shako inside) with shako
• 6:35p: Grandioso step-out
• 7:00p: Game start
• AFTER GAME:

1. Unload bus
2. Check-in uniform on your designated Uniform Rack
3. Get instrument from truck / store in locker or take home
4. CiCi's this week!

1. Band Spring Trip DEPOSIT ($75) - PAST DUE!!

2. Family Contribution Payment #1, PAST DUE!

• $200 partial payment, or $375 payment in full

1. WE, SYM - All-State Music Evaluation 1st 1/2 Etude #2 - DUE Sept 17/18 (6 Cumulative All-State Test = Semester 2 Chair Placement)

2. CON - Etude #2 - DUE Sept 18(6 Cumulative Tests = Semester 2 Chair Placement)

1. Marching Rehearsals NEXT week:

• Mon, 4:45-6:45p
• Tues, EXTENDED rehearsal, 4:45-7:30p - combined with Clark/Vines
• Thurs, 4:45-5:45p

2. Dress Rehearsal for Arts Inspire w/ Daveed Diggs, 9/11, 9:30a-1:30p

• Transportation & lunch provided

3. Plano Jazz Meeting, 9/11, 7-8p

4. Arts Inspire Performance, 9/12 @ 7:30-9:30p

• Dinner provided at PSHS after marching rehearsal
• Transportation provided
• This is required of every Plano Band member [Test Grade]
• We are wearing full uniform (formal look = grey pinstripe), shakos & plumes

8. Football Game #3, HOME vs. McKinney HS, Fri 9/13 @ 7p, Clark Stadium

• w/ Clark & Vines
• 7th period release to rehearse Planoette tune

9. Practice-a-Thon, Sept 14, 2-5p

• More details to follow

10. Marching Rehearsals, week of 9/16

• Mon (9/16), Tues (9/17), Thurs (9/18)

11. All-Region Jazz Auditions, 9/18, 5-9p @ PWSH

12. Six Week Eligibility Grade Check, September 20

• Students must be passing ALL on-level courses to remain eligible and stay in the show!
• Do your homework and pass all of your classes. Do not procrastinate!!!!

13. Football Game #4, AWAY @ Allen HS

14. Plano Drumline Competition, September 21 @ Clark Stadium
