Principal Star Award
This month's Principal Star Awards go to Kennedi Morley and Zoe Pineda-Gonzalez!
Kennedi's teacher reports:
My nomination for this is Kennedi Morley. She is so kind, she goes above and beyond to include all of her classmates, she works hard, and the kids in our class gravitate to her because of all these positive qualities. She comes in every day with a smile and helps makes our class a great place to learn!
Zoe's teacher reports:
Zoe consistently demonstrates the 3 R's-Respectful, Responsible, and Ready behavior. She is always kind to her peers and willing to help without any complaints. She is thriving in math class. She is working hard to learn the new math concepts and she is willing to take risks with her answers.

Cold Weather Reminder
As we move into colder weather, we are implementing a revised recess schedule to ensure students’ safety and well-being while allowing them to enjoy outdoor activity when possible.
Here is the updated recess schedule based on temperature and wind chill: *We will use our best judgement 🙂
- 28°F and above: Full outdoor recess as usual.
- 22°F to 27°F: Shortened outdoor recess (10-15 minutes).
- 21°F and below: Indoor recess only.
Please remind students to dress appropriately for the weather, including coats, hats, gloves, and scarves. For families needing assistance with winter gear, please contact our guidance counselor, Ms. Mayes.
Your cooperation and understanding in supporting this plan are greatly appreciated. If you have any questions or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for all that you do to keep our students safe and comfortable.
