OLIS will offer small and large project-based competitive grants in the next round of ARPA grants supporting recovery from the coronavirus pandemic. LORI-certified libraries of all types are eligible to apply. Learn more about this new grant program in informational workshops held the week of August 23.
The Office of Library and Information Services and the Rhode Island Library Association are partnering to support professional development for individuals interested in advancing their understanding of systemic racism and developing practical skills to foster antiracist library environments. Applications are due by August 20 at 4:00 PM.

Books in a variety of foreign languages produced by NLS or obtained from other countries via the Marrakesh Treaty and other means are available.
Five new braille magazines will be added to the NLS collection this fall: CricketDell Sunday CrosswordsKnitsceneNational Geographic KidsSports Illustrated Kids In other news, Readers Digest is currently available in both braille and audio.
