Bonham Purple Warrior Athletics

Our football teams have been fighting hard all season. We finished our preseason schedule 1-3 and are 2 games into our district season. Our homecoming crowd was outstanding. I think our student section that night was the best I've seen it in my 10 years at BHS.

Bonham Buddies is a collaborative partnership between the varsity football team, our student trainers, and the Finley-Oates Trails Team. Bonham Buddies will meet once a month and during this fellowship there will be a variety of programs and activities that we will celebrate together. Examples of the activities that Bonham Buddies will be doing include Board Game Days, Outdoor/Recreation Days, and Book/Reading Days. The mission and goal of Bonham Buddies is to bring together our athletes and our Trails Students from Finley-Oates with a common purpose of building lasting friendships and most importantly, teaching the values of kindness, compassion, and love. Our first meeting was a meet and greet. Coach McDaniel is leading this program.

Our cross country team has completed his regular season with one of our runners advancing to the regional meet. It was medal season for the majority of our boys team with multiple runners medaling at most meets. Personal best times and school records were every ones goals through out the year. Hunter Hunter placed 2nd at our district meet and will run in the regional meet in Grand Prairie on October 22.
