With a new transportation system in place, we have a greater number of walkers and bikers at Governor Winslow School. For the safety of all, here are a few reminders:

• Bikers, walkers, and car drop off should arrive to school at 8:35 AM. (Staff will not be on duty until that time.)
• Bikers must walk their bikes on Regis Road and remain on the sidewalk at all times.
• Car line drop off is at the bike rack at 8:35 AM. Students should remain in the car until a staff member signals.
• DO NOT drop off or pick up students on Regis Road or Gotham Hill Drive. Please use the car drop off/pick up line.
• Please be sure walkers and bikers are prepared for inclement weather.

Thank you so much for your attention to our arrival and dismissal at GWS. The safety of our students remains our top priority, and we appreciate your help!

Picture make-up / retake day is scheduled for Thursday, October 10 for any student who was absent on Picture Day or who was not satisfied with his/her original photo. For all picure retakes please return the original portrait package.

New families should have received their login information via email from our Aspen team. Please check your email for your credentials. All families can contact aspen@mpsd.org if you have any questions accessing the parent portal.

GWS will continue to use the PickUp Patrol (PUP) App to help us better manage our dismissal process. PUP allows parents to electronically make daily dismissal changes from a computer or smart phone. Families that have not already registered will receive an email with login information.

Ice cream will be available at lunch every Friday! To expedite the process, it would be very helpful if money is preloaded onto your child's School Bucks account rather than sending in cash. Check your account because several accounts have balances from last year. Siblings cannot share accounts so please be sure to preload each child's individual accounts.You can add money by clicking here. (After you log in or register (if new) than you can use your child’s Birthday for the ID Number to add your child’s account.)

If cash is sent in label the envelope with your child's name.

The cost is $1.50

Lunch will be served at all elementary schools this year free of charge.

Every parent/guardian that would like to volunteer needs to have an updated CORI form on file.

SAVE THE DATE! The Jog-a-Thon is set for Thursday, October 17th, with a rain date of Monday, October 21st. Check your kid's backpacks and PTBoard for more information regarding this wonderful event. This is the PTO's largest fundraiser with opportunities for both businesses and families to donate and have your logo or name appear on the kids t-shirts. The schedule of when each class will be release at a later date.
