Weekly Newsletter
Hello Families and Guardians,
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making this year’s Apple Squeeze such a huge success! Thanks to your generosity, we raised over $10,000 for our school. Whether you donated your time, baked goods, or items for the donation baskets, your involvement made a real difference.
A special thank you to Wendy Allegrone Leslie for her incredible work in organizing the event, Ashley Turzak, our dedicated Treasurer, Amanda Martin and Assistant Principal Soules, who were on site all day to ensure everything ran smoothly. Your commitment to our school community is truly appreciated. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend due to a family event, but I know the day was a huge success thanks to all of you!
National Custodian Appreciation Day – Wednesday
This Wednesday, October 2nd, we’ll be celebrating National Custodian Appreciation Day. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our hardworking custodians—Tom, Margaret, Liam, Larry, Gordy, and Helen—for all they do to keep our school clean, safe, and welcoming. Their efforts often happen behind the scenes, but their impact is felt by everyone in our community. Please join me in showing our gratitude this week!
Bus Evacuation Drills – Thursday
On Thursday morning, we will be conducting bus evacuation drills. These drills are an important part of our safety procedures, ensuring that students know what to do in case of an emergency. We are still addressing some behavior challenges on the buses, so I kindly ask that you remind your children to follow the rules and behave appropriately during their rides. Their safety, as well as the safety of others, depends on it.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership in making Morris Elementary a wonderful place for our students to learn and grow.
Parent-Teacher Conferences: Sign Up Information
This week, you will receive an email with important information regarding sign-ups for Parent-Teacher Conferences. The sign-ups will be on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to register early to secure your preferred time.

Parent-Teacher Conferences are a valuable opportunity for parents and teachers to work together in support of your child's academic and social development. These meetings allow us to share insights, address any concerns, and ensure that your child is on track for success. Open communication between home and school is key to fostering a strong partnership, and we look forward to meeting with you.
