The Call
June 10-14, 2024
Hooray, We Made It!!!
As we approach the end of the school year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the journey we've shared together and express my gratitude for your support. Moving to a new school midway through the academic year presented its challenges, but with your cooperation and understanding, we've navigated through them with resilience and determination.
I am immensely grateful to PGCPS for providing us with the necessary time and resources to settle into our new environment. This gesture provided a smooth transition for our teachers but also laid the groundwork for a successful integration into our school community.
Looking ahead to the next academic year, I am excited to announce some exciting developments. We will be welcoming more students and introducing new courses in our 6th to 8th grades (Drama, ASL, Chorus, Stem Expeditions, NFT Start Up, TV Media Production, Family & Consumer Science, etc); enriching the learning experience and broadening our students' horizons.
Furthermore, I am thrilled to share that students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade will have the opportunity to participate in arts-integrated learning, thanks to a generous grant from Maryland Arts for Learning. This initiative will foster creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration among our teachers, our youngest learners and local artists; empowering them to express themselves through various art forms.
Wishing you all a safe and enjoyable summer break filled with joyous moments and cherished memories.
See you in August,
Ms. Lattimore
