We have our last Lakeview Elementary Spirit Night on Monday, May 5th at Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream in Orem. It will go from noon - 10 pm. Please mention that you are there supporting Lakeview Elementary or show the attached flyer in order for our school to receive 20% of total purchases. Thank you so much for your generous support of the Lakeview students, teachers, and PTA this year!

Lakeview students and families are invited for an afternoon of FUN at our Spring Festival, right here at the school on May 16th! There will be games, food, kite flying, student performances, Navajo dances, Capoiera and Haka, and so much more! It is sure to be an amazing way to celebrate our school year!

Hello Fabulous Lakeview Parents!

It's coming to the end of the school year and the end of library! We are going to start COLLECTING LIBRARY BOOKS on April 28th.

We have 893 books currently checked out and 342 OF THOSE ARE OVERDUE! (Some library books have been checked out since the first day of library)

For your student's account to be closed out for the summer, all books must be turned in or paid for. Please watch for overdue emails and notices being sent home, and forgive us for inundating you with reminders, but by this point I will have to transform into the "Book Bounty Hunter"- which is, honestly, my least favorite of all my library jobs :)

"SORA" is a free resource for students to read books and listen to audiobooks. Here are the instructions for you to be able to get SORA on your computer, phone, or tablet. Email me with any questions: oliviac@provo.edu

1. Go to Soraapp.com or download the Sora app from Google Play store and Apple App store.

2. Click on Find My School. Start typing then select Provo City School District.

3. Login with your Google school email address (ex: ab012345@stu.provo.edu) Their password is their birthday dd/mm/yyyy

4. Go to +Add Library. Add these libraries:

· Provo City School District

· Beehive Library Consortium

· Utah Dual Language Immersion

5. Go to Preferences. Select your preferences for available books, audiobooks, ebooks, immersion language, juvenile or young adult. Select Apply to save your changes.

6. Go to Settings and manage settings.

7. Enjoy reading or listening!

Clothing donations are welcomed and needed for the health room donation box. Pants and new underwear in smaller sizes are the most needed items. If your student has used clothes from the Health Room's Donation Box, please wash and return them to the office. Thank you!

Scan and submit your receipts using the Box Tops App within 2 weeks of buying any items with the new Box Tops label that says SCAN. Be sure to choose Lakeview when you set up your account. Submitting receipts from online orders is also available from many stores. Check out www.boxtops4education.com if you have questions. We are not collecting paper box tops anymore.

Getting groceries from Smith’s and buying on Amazon can also make you earn money for our school. If you have a Smith’s member ID (phone number), go to their website and login with your email. Search for Inspiring Donations under the My Account tab and use our Organization Number: LD084. When shopping on Amazon, access through smile.amazon.com and search to support Lakeview Elementary PTA (Salt Lake Cty, UT) to earn some cash back to our school.
