Tomorrow, 11/11/24, Crestwood Elementary will host a Veterans Day celebration! Veterans, family members & their students will join us from 8:45-9:15 for a reception in the library that includes a light breakfast, provided.

We will have an honor walk at 9:15 am from the Library to to our assembly which will take place from 9:30-10:00 in our gym with all students and staff.

Veterans and Guests may begin checking in at the office at 8:40. (Please bring your ID. If you are not in our entry system.

*Please note - our school day arrival process will last until 8:50am (buses, walkers, Carline), so our parking lot will have some traffic congestion to negotiate during that time.*

We look forward to celebrating the service of our Veterans and their families in the community! As we gather to honor the service and sacrifices of our veterans, may this day of remembrance fill our hearts with gratitude, unity, and respect for those who have bravely served.

Wagner Portrait Group will be at school to photograph any students who were absent on the initial picture day or any student that needs his/her picture retaken.

Please contact Karen Daubendiek immediately at karendaubendiek@lindberghschools.ws to make sure she knows your kiddo needs a retake.

If you are having a picture taken as a RETAKE, please make sure your student returns their package in its entirety, including the package insert sheet, to the photographer on retake day.

Hello Crestwood!

We are kicking off our annual Crestwood Cares program the week of November 11. We have always been so thankful that your generosity has allowed us to support so many families throughout the years. We have an amazing community!

This year we will be raising funds at school and gathering donations from the community for gift cards for our families through the Giving Tree-a Crestwood Elementary tradition! Each family will receive support for groceries, gas, a family experience, and gifts. The items listed in the Giving Tree (coming soon) have been requested specifically to fit the needs of each family.

We love to have the kids participate and so we will hold three "Fun Friday" events to collect their donations (donation not required to participate). We encourage kids to do something helpful around the house to earn some change, or use their own money for these days.

Collections will be taken up in classrooms each of these Fridays:

Nov 15- Jingle for Jammies (Wear PJs)

Nov 22- Beach Day (Wear Summer Clothes!)

Dec 6-Decades Day (Pick your favorite time period and dress accordingly!)

Our November Book of the Month is “When We Gather: A Cherokee Tribal Feast.” This book goes along with November’s celebration of Native American Heritage Month and tells the story of a Cherokee family in the modern day.

Results for the fall FastBridge universal reading screening are now available on Infinite Campus. All Lindbergh students in grades K-3 are screened multiple times each school year to assess reading development and determine areas of growth and instructional need. Here is a copy of the Lindbergh Family Reading Screening Guide.

To access your student’s results, please follow the steps below:

1. Log in into the Infinite Campus Parent Portal

2. On the left menu, click the MORE option

3. Then select ASSESSMENTS

Filing for the Lindbergh Schools Board of Education Election will open on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2024, at 8 a.m. and close on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024, at 5 p.m. Two positions are available for three-year terms. The election date is April 8, 2025.

Individuals interested in running for the Board of Education are invited to attend a candidate information session on Thursday, Nov. 21, immediately following the 7 p.m. regular Board of Education meeting. This will take place at the District Administration building, 9350 Sappington Road, and is open to any individuals who are interested in running for the board. Questions?
