As we near the end of another incredible academic year, I want to take a moment to reflect on our journey together. The year has been filled with many experiences, some challenging, some joyous. I am proud of the growth our students have made and the faith and trust parents and guardians give our school. As we look ahead to the future, let us carry forward the lessons learned and the bonds strengthened. Together, we will continue to innovate, inspire, and empower one another to reach new heights of success. Let's end this last month of school strong; I hope you have a fantastic summer!

Throughout the week of May 6-10, our library is converted into a "book buyers paradise" with buy-one, get-one sales. Scholastic Book Fair returns with lots to choose from. The fair is open in the evening during OMA performances and starting at 8am each school day. Children can come to the fair before or after school if they are accompanied by a parent/guardian. They can also come during lunch recess with a pass from the monitor. Classroom teachers have also signed up for scheduled times to visit as a class.

This month's character trait is CREATIVITY, which is so fitting in our OMA Gold school. Not only do our students develop creative thinking skills, we also work to develop creative outlets through music, performance art, and visual art. Throughout the month, we will focus on this trait through class lessons, circle sharing, and class discussions. At the end of the month, with every month, we will recognize a student from each class who has embodied this trait well. See the attached newsletter for ideas to use as a family.

Our School Site Council is an important group that meets at least four times a year. We determine how to allocate our undesignated tax credit funds for the school and review important school plans. This group includes a mix of certified teachers, classified staff and parents/guardians. Looking ahead to next school year, we have ONE parent opening to join our group and two worthy parents on the ballot. Please consider attending our in-person PTO meeting 5/6 at 6pm to cast your vote (after the meeting adjourns).

At this May's PTO meeting, board members are up for a vote! Please join us 5/6 at 6pm for the in-person PTO meeting at Peter Piper Pizza. Among other business, board members will be voted on. The ballot includes:
