What's new with Watkins Middle?
A weekly reflection and preview of all things WMS
WMS updates and reminders
- There is no school for students Monday 1/20 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Day).
- The district has shifted the first conference day up to February 6th. The initial date was the 13th. Sign ups for conferences are here.
- Is your child interested in playing club tennis? See information related to the upcoming club season here.
- Class scheduling for next year will be underway during the week of January 27th. Please take a few minutes to go over the class options with your child for those that will be entering seventh and eighth grade.
- Please revisit the flow of drop off and pick up traffic shown below. Thank you to those parents that are consistently maintaining the direction and flow of traffic. It makes the jobs of staff members, bus drivers, and everyone else much safer and easier. It is appreciated.
- If your child is a rising seventh or eighth grader and has demonstrated a gift for Math please consider filling out this Algebra readiness survey. With limited seats available this readiness assessment will assist in the process of identifying students for Math courses next year. Students currently taking Pre-Algebra will automatically be placed in Algebra 1 next year.
- During the first semester our building has been working on grading alignment. This grading document provides an overview of the adjustments that will be implemented effective 3rd quarter (1/22),
