Rockets Attend BETA Convention
Richards Beta Club had a great time at the annual Missouri Junior Beta Convention in Branson! Our students participated in a variety of competitions, connected with Beta students from across the state, and gathered lots of inspiration for next year's convention! We ended the day with a special dinner that our Beta students worked hard to fundraise for back in December. We're excited to see our Beta students continue growing in achievement, character, leadership, and service!
Suicide Education for Parents
Monday, January 27, 5:00 PM the school counselors, Mrs. Gastineau and Mrs. Bryant invite all parents with students in grades 5 - 8 to come learn about some suicide warning signs, risk factors, and facts about suicide. This will be held in the Richards Library.

Bus Safety Reminder
If balloons, are delivered to students at school, they cannot be taken on the bus. Items, such as balloons, that can be a distraction and safety issue for bus drivers must be picked up by parents during parent pickup or they can stay in the office until the parent can pick them up. As stated in the Richards Student Handbook, "Balloons, or other items that may block the driver's view, are not allowed on the bus. When items such as balloons pop it also causes a distraction."
Please see page 19 of the Richards Student Handbook to see a list of bus safety procedures, behavior, and restrictions.

Casey's Cash for Schools
Give back to Richards with Casey’s Rewards
Dear Parents,
We’re excited to share that our school is participating in Cash for Classrooms, part of Casey’s Rewards. This opens up Richards School to new funding opportunities to help improve learning environments for students.
The best part? Donations don’t come out of your own pocket. When you buy from Casey’s and use their rewards program you can simply turn your points into a donation to our school.
Download the Casey App to get started! Locate the School Donations tab in your Casey’s App Account Settings. Type in Richards R5 School and select. Once you reach 250 Points you can begin donating!
Help Richards R5 School make the most of this program and learn more at Casey's Rewards.
