Happy New Year, Gators! We are so excited for the second semester and the work that we will continue to do to improve as learners and readers. Our Gators have had a successful beginning this year learning, working hard, making friends and showing their manners. We have a lot of new data that is ready to be discussed so please join us at the SAC Meeting on February 6, 2025 at 8:30 in the media center.

Our students have begun to use iReady to support their ELA and Math abilities. There was a placement test that students took that shows where they are performing at in terms of grade level. Students will meet with members of the admin team and set goals around their data. Our goal is for all students to meet their stretch growth, which is 3 lessons a week in ELA and Math. To support your students on their progression you could ask them how they are progressing in their iReady Lessons and ensure that they are passing the lessons.

The students will have the following goals as a whole:

• Complete 3 lessons a week in ELA and Math
• Read at home for 20 minutes, tell an adult what you read about
• Math facts KG-2 grade students should work on addition and subtraction, 3rd-5th grade students should work on multiplication or division. It is the goal they can do these things quickly.

We are hopeful that there will be growth in all students. We will administer the second round of assessment in February.

Many families are asking what they can do at home to support students. Please know that we want all students to be readers, writers, and problem solvers. To find out more about the content that your child learns in their classrooms.

Families, please have your child come to the front office and check out the lost and found. There are a number of lost items, and we think you are missing them.

Flyers coming soon. Please join us for a fun Math Night on February 11th from 5-7pm at Publix located at 12101 Little Rd Hudson FL 34667. Students will have a simulated shopping experience and calculate the totals at the cash registers.
