Dear SVDP Community,

Apologies for the late distribution of our June 1st newsletter. There was a lot going on last week.

And what a week! On Tuesday, the students and faculty / staff enjoyed our Kidz Rule the Skool Day! On Wednesday our 8th graders challenged some staff and recent alumni to a volleyball game. The 8th graders then had a special evening with their families at the 8th grade dinner dance. On Thursday we had VAPA Fest and on Friday we had Field Day!

The SVDP welcomes Mr. Henrry Blanco as the new full-time Spanish instructor for the 2023-2024 school year.

As many of you know, the St. Thomas the Apostle School will close at the end of this school year. In August, we will welcome three families from this community and Mr. Henrry Blanco.

Mr. Blanco, has many years of experience in the classroom. With this move, Spanish will reclaim its spot in the core curriculum at SVDP. We look forward to a robust Spanish program to develop under the direction of Mr. Blanco.

After a 3-year hiatus, the De Paul Youth Club sleepover in the gym is back!

The sleepover will take place from 7:30 p.m., Thursday, June 8th to 7:58 a.m. Friday, June 9th.

All 3rd through 7th grade students are invited to attend and bounce in the several bounce houses we will have and talk the night away with your friends. Pizza will be served around 8:30 and there will be various snacks throughout the evening. Donuts will be served for breakfast.
