As some of you might know, I am a big proponent of the growth mindset, especially in our students. There will be many opportunities we will be doing next year to help promote and grow that mindset.

I wanted to devote a newsletter to some items that help you, your child and our teachers cultivate our approaches to supporting students learning.

A big thank you to the Halgren family for donating a new kitchen set and supplies to the Preschool classroom!

Mr. Norrenberns, working with Mascoutah High School Athletics, took our PE classes to the practice soccer fields at MHS. Some great shots as our students improve upon the "Body" (Remember: "Mind, Body, and Spirit")

Allowing life to spread its wings! Great job to Ms. Graul and our Pre K class by releasing the butterflies that they have been watching grow and hatch over the past few weeks!

Just a small heads up...we had some cases this week of pink eye going around in some of the students. Make sure you are washing your hands! We have our custodial staff doing an extra disinfecting this evening.

Don't forget to enroll in HCS for the 24-25 school year. We have some incentives for families to enroll before the end of the school year: Gift cards to families as well as access to IXL so students can continue with their skills over the summer! (More information about IXL will be coming in May).

For those of you who attended our parent night a few weeks back, I saw this post about Dawn Staley, the University of South Carolina's Girls' Basketball Team...the one that just beat Caitlin Clark from Iowa.

If you remember, I spoke about Coach Summit from Tennessee and how she prepared her players by playing against, "bigger, stronger, faster".

We always talk about doing this in sports.....why not push our kids academically?
