Hello Legacy Families!

As always, we have A LOT coming up in the next few weeks that I would like to draw your attention to:

• Monday 1/20, No School (Martin Luther King Jr.)
• Friday 1/24, Fire Drill
• Tuesday 1/28, Navigating Success- Parent Workshops

Starting Monday, January 13th, our cafeteria procedures will be changing. Please take some time to review the changes below:

• Breakfast and lunch will continue to be offered at no cost for all students who would like a meal
• Students will need to input their ID number in the pin pads once they pick up their meal. Students will need to memorize their student ID or have their student ID with them in order to input their ID number.
• Middle school lunch lines will be located in the same area that lunch is currently being served.
• High school students will need to pick up their lunch from the high school lunch line which will be located near the high school lunch tables.
• Breakfast will continue to be served in the same location as it is currently being served.
• As always, students must take a complete meal with all the required items. Our cafeteria staff will be available to support students with questions.

We appreciate your support as we implement the new procedures.

Support the Legacy Virtual Enterprise companies and their trip to the CA State Competition and Trade Show in Bakersfield. If you know a student attending reach out to them to purchase directly through them, or use the link below to purchase through Mr. Moe and support the trip as a whole. Only available through 4:30 pm Sunday 1/12. THANKS!

Second Semester Attendance Reminders

Welcome Back LMA Students and Families! Please take a few minutes to review this important attendance information as a family:

1. Please make every effort to attend school every day. As a reminder, LMA follows a block schedule which means classes meet for an extended period of time, every other day.

   It is important for students to be at school every day, so they do not fall behind with their schoolwork.

2. We understand that students will miss school when they are sick. Please make sure you contact the school to report student absences.

3. Please be on time to school every single day

• 0 period classes start at 7:30 a.m.
• 1st and 2nd period classes start at 8:30 a.m.
• Please make sure students are inside the school gates and in their classroom by the designated start times.
• Students who are late will be marked tardy.

We understand that the drop off line can get a bit busy in the morning. We encourage families to get to campus a few minutes early to ensure that students have ample time to get to their classes.

Today we had our Middle School Winter Wonderland Dance. Middle schoolers, we hope you enjoyed the fun winter themed activities, treats, and competitions.

Purchase tickets now for our Casino Royale Winter Formal on January 25th, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM at the Tustin Golf Ranch Club. Prices increase as the date approaches, so be sure to secure your tickets early!

College Wear Wednesdays have begun! Wear your college gear to represent your favorite colleges.

Next Friday we will be having a Casino Royale Winter Formal activity. There will be cards hidden around the school that students will find in order to get a prize. Be sure to turn in the cards to the TIDE shack on Friday at lunch.

Wish yourself, friends, teachers, or anyone you know a happy birthday! Purchase a Birthday Marquee message for $10 online or at the TIDE Shack!

Wear your Legacy spirit every Friday to show your TIDE Spirit! Don’t miss out on the next wave of spirit days!

On January 17th from 7:15 to 8:00am, join the LMA Jesus Club as we host a Martin Luther King, Jr. Prayer Walk. All LMA students and family members are invited to this opportunity to learn about what Dr. King stood for, and be led in prayer for student/staff integrity, acceptance, mental & physical health, and safety. It will also be a great way to get to know some of the other LMA families! All faiths are welcome.
