The Ram Review
Northbridge Middle School Newsletter September 7, 2022
Today we conducted our first ALICE table talk discussion with our students during WIN. Ofc. Dejordy was on hand to observe and provide feedback. We centered our discussions around 3 key areas-A threat on the opposite side of the school, A threat has entered the classroom, and A threat is outside your classroom door. These scenarios gave staff and students the opportunity to discuss what they would do in each instance. Ms. Palmer-Howes, Mr. Stien, Ofc. Dejordy and I all visited classrooms and saw great discussions taking place. We plan on having 2 more table talk drills before our final drill in April or early May. Thank you to all our staff and students for a job well done!

Dear Parent/Guardian:
Each year, the Northbridge Association of Churches NAC) runs a program to assist families during the holiday season. The association provides food baskets at Thanksgiving and will also provide gifts (clothing and/or a toy) for your child (<13) and gift cards for children ages (13-17) at Christmas.
If this program is something that would be helpful to your family, please email one of the people below or call the school at 508-234-8718. Once we receive the request, forms will be emailed to you. When filling out the information about your child’s gift, please try your best to give a specific suggestion or provide information about what your child likes (i.e. anything to do with Pokemon, or loves arts and crafts, etc.) If you are unable to send the forms back by email, you may request for them to be mailed to your home.
To ensure that you are enrolled in this program, you must call or send the email request by October 11th. Once you receive the forms, fill them out and return them by October 13th. You can drop them off at the main office of the Middle School, scan and email them to scalabro@nps.org or mail them back to the school marked to the attention of the School Nurse on the envelope. It is very important to return the forms in a timely manner, requests cannot be accepted after October 14th.
Before each holiday, additional information will be sent to you about when and where to pick up the food baskets and gifts by the NAC. Please call either the School Counselor or School Nurse at 508-234-8718 with any questions you may have.
All of the Middle School teachers and staff are committed to ensuring that all of our students are able to enjoy a wonderful holiday season!.
Sincerely,
Susan Calabro, School Nurse scalabro@nps.org
