School Schedule
Late Start Monday: 10:35 am - 3:45 pm
School starts at 10:35 am on Mondays. Please drop your students off no earlier than 10:20 am on Mondays. Bus routes run 90 minutes later on Mondays.
Tuesday through Friday Schedule: 9:00 am - 3:45 pm
Classes begin at 9:00 am. Please drop your students off no earlier than 8:45 am.

- On Mondays we wear College or Local High School Spirit Wear
- On Fridays we wear Viking or Blue Spirit Gear

Any student who still needs a picture taken and would like to order pictures can use our prepay link:

Password is the student's ID#
Any student who ordered pictures and wants retakes needs to return their entire package. We will retake the picture and reprint the package with the new picture.
Highly Capable Referrals
November 15 - December 8
Does your child perform at significantly advanced academic levels when compared with others? Consider referring them for Highly Capable Services between Nov. 15 and Dec. 8.
Learning characteristics could include:
Analytical thinker
Accelerated learner
Advanced language speaker
Self-motivated
Second grade students will participate in a Highly Capable Universal Screener the second week of November and, therefore, do not need to be referred to be considered for services. Referral forms — English and Spanish — will be available starting Nov. 15. For more information, contact Allison Sheldon at (253) 891-6061 or allison_sheldon@sumnersd.org.
Please Leave Toys at Home
As a reminder, toys are not allowed at school without express permission from your child's teacher (ex. Stuffed Animal Day). Toys can become a distraction in a learning environment. If your child brings an item for use before or after the school day starts, please make sure they leave it in their backpack while at school. Please double check your child's backpack and speak to them about leaving toys at home.
The Weather Is Changing Again
Please remember to send your student to school with proper coats and shoes. Outdoor recess is only cancelled if there are severe weather concerns such as high winds or thunder and lightning.
Please consider writing your student’s name inside their coat in case it is left out at recess. This helps us return it to the correct student.
PTA Update
The PTA will be hosting an Arts and Crafts night on December 14th. We are currently looking for volunteers to help. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Amy at bleptatreasurer@gmail.com.
