Welcome Back
Hello Provo City School District Employees!
I am so excited to welcome you back to another great school year! Our theme for this year is “Cultivating Magic in Provo City School District.” We want our district to be a welcoming place for all of you, for our students, and for our community. When I attended the Show Up for Teachers Conference in July, I loved hearing about how our education system is ranked second in the nation overall and fifth for K-12, and our leaders were clear that this is because of each of you! I agree wholeheartedly. Each one of you makes it possible for our students to succeed. You have chosen the greatest and most honorable profession. Never let anyone convince you otherwise. I wish all of you a magical year in PCSD! — Superintendent Wendy Dau
For: Educators
Educators in Provo City School District are eligible to receive additional pay for work outside of contracted time, as outlined in SB 137 (Formally HB 489). 32 hours will be paid at the educator’s per diem rate, (less legislative addition) for completion of professional hours, enhancing your skills and improving student achievement. Educators must compose and review a plan of action with their administrator by the 5th day of instruction, August 19th. Completion of this form is the first step in the approval process. Those who successfully complete their plan will be compensated in December 2024 or May 2025, whichever the educator chooses. Please watch for a form sent to you from your principal to begin the process.
