Good evening, Bishop Woods families!
We had nice weather this weekend, I hope everyone was able to get out and spend time with family and friends.
Parents, we are down to the last 30 days of school and I am sure our students are excited for summer break that is on the horizon. We have events planned for all grades. Please encourage your child to remain focused and continue to reinforce behavioral and academic expectations, so all students can participate in the activities and end the year with a strong finish.
Bishop Woods Families, Teacher Appreciation week is May-6th-May 10th and we want to spoil our teachers! The PTO is organizing a trail mix and snack attack bar and we need your help. If you can, please send store bought sealed items by May 7th.
To all students, Teachers are NOTEWORTHY! To show your appreciation, Write one or more of your teachers a note or draw a picture to explain how they have impacted your life this year.
We have an exciting Title 1 event this Thursday, May 9th. Eli Whitney is doing a hands on workshop at Bishop Woods in the cafe from 5:30-7. Families will be building birdhouses to take home. Light Refreshments will be served. Below is the flyer.

Smarter Balanced Assessment
Our SBA testing,continues for students in grades 3-6. Our students have been working very hard. I am so proud of their efforts completing this assessment.
Dress code and Expectations
I want to thank all the parents for ensuring that their children are following our school's dress code. Even though parents are not getting phone calls because of inappropriate dress, it doesn't mean we are not enforcing the code. All students ARE AWARE of the expectations and if they make the choice to violate the code they know the consequences.
Grade 8 parents, if you were unable to attend one of the mandated Grade 8 End of Year sessions, please contact the office to set up an appointment to meet with the admin. If we do not meet with you, your child will not participate in any of the graduation activities.
Important Dates
- Wednesday May 8th- Surprise and Delight, Early dismissal teacher professional development. Students MUST be picked up at 12:50 so teachers can be on time.
- Thursday May 9th Title 1 Eli Whitney Workshop in cafe 5:30-7:00 in the cafe
- Friday May 10th Grade 7 field trip to Sleeping Giant (for students who followed code of conduct and dress code)
