Weekly Announcements
09.27.24
At this week's PTA meeting, I shared some information about our School Improvement Plan. Steck has three school improvement goals: for students to show growth in ELA (English Language Arts), for students to show growth in mathematics, and to minimize the number of students with multiple major behavior incidents. Along with our district's strategic plan, our school improvement plan will include action steps to support all students in all areas.
Quarter 1 progress reports are coming home in backpacks today. Each student receives a progress report during first quarter; reports are optional for quarters two, three, and four. This is one of the ways we partner with our families to share student progress. Progress report information can be a good conversation topic to avoid the common conversation of: (adult) "how was school today/what did you do at school today?" (child) "fine/nothing". We have a lot to celebrate in the short time we've been in school!
Enjoy the weekend!
Sincerely,
Dr. Pohlmann
